Luke 12 verse 13:

v13″ Someone from the crowd said to Him, 'Teacher tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me."

Our eternal relationship of our inner being, isn't improved by what possessions we have. We live for such a short time in this world, so how many possessions we have house, cars, TVs and even clothes for that matter will one day count for nothing. The amount of money we have, could make us comfortable in this world, but we are an eternal being

v20 "But God said to Him, 'You fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared – whose will they be?"

V21 "That's how it is with the ones who stores up treasure for himself and not rich towards God.'"

Jesus called the man a fool because he remembered the wrong things. He remembered himself. This man was so full of himself, and he though he had everything.

He made himself happy and forgot those around him. God doesn't have a problem with riches, God has a problem with what people do with there riches.

The rich fool forgot his neighbors. If he had to much to fit into his barns he had, why didn't he share.

The rich fool also forgot time, it never occurred to him that it all could end. He was living for the here and now.

If the evil one {Satan} can convince us there is no eternity, we will make our thinking about the here and now.

If the evil one {Satan} can convince us there is no God, we will make it all about us.

But the evil one {Satan} doesn't try to convince us those things because we know them to be true, he will try to convince us there is no hurry, where we can just meander along believing we will get there eventually.

The Bible tells us all our days are numbered, and one day we are going to be called to give account of ourselves to the God that created everything {Our Lord and Our Friend}.

Don't be caught like the rich fool. Be walking the life with Our lord and Our Friend now, you were created to walk. Then when your time does comes, it will be a just a continuation of your walk with Our Lord and Our friend on the other side of eternity.

The Christian walk is one of dying to self, and living for the Amazing God that created us. That is the walk that is so amazing that so few find it. It is there for all who look and are willing.

God Bless.
