Since the DDP took over the government, the NCC stayed stagnant, in nominating the members of the board, the committee members, Lin and Wang who had been ousted, publicized a letter, offered FOUR bullets for the N.C.C. The two committee members' words are precise description of the problem of N.C.C. and the news media, but they'd, waited until they're out of the seats to speak up and out, a bit, too, late.

NCC's taking the CTI off of broadcasting, Mirror T.V.'s dispute on certification to air, with the DDP and N.C.C.'s former chair, Chen's political manipulations, the DDP had even tried to block out the investigation group to get set up by the legislature. As for the case of Sanli Television getting included into the package channels, showed the NCC's favoritism toward the DDP-favored channels.
The credibility of the N.C.C. quickly spiraled downward during DDP's control of government, since the complete takeover by the DDP back in 2016, the DDP gained the majority of legislature, and started, rounding up all the independently operating agencies to under its wings. The case of the former committee chair, Chen of N.C.C. isn't an isolated incident, everything else, the nominations of the Central Elections Commissions, to the nominations of the members of the Examination Department, the Grand Justices, all go by this system. From this, NCC and Chen aren't, alone.
The publicized letter by the committee member who is now, no longer in office pointed out, "the news channels in Taiwan had become politically related, turning the news media into the subsidiary departments of the political party". These words, were out of the "former N.C.C. committee member", sounded, quite, ironic. The "grouping" of the news media, is a, serious, problem, but the severity paled by comparison to the N.C.C. politically favoring a party is more, severe.

Even if the news media held the varied political standpoints, so long as they follow the "diversity" rule, those who tuned in can still find that balance in the information broadcasted. But as an arbitrator of news media, the N.C.C. turned the "grouping of the news media" into "completely DDP-favored". The primetime channels, aside from the cable, the DDP-favored took up more than eighty-percent, is this not the fault of the N.C.C.?
And now, the problem of N.C.C. goes way beyond switching out one or two heads of department, the committee chair, the committee members. In the advice of the committee member who was ousted, she'd mentioned the four possible members of the committee, of whom, none had expertise in broadcasting, but in telecommunications, legal and economics, and by the same, this is still, an evasive way of stating the problem. The professionalism of the NCC is a key point in consideration, sure, but, how to find that person that can, keep the political manipulations out, that is, the key, for N.C.C. to maintain its, impartiality.
This is on the buy-out of the N.C.C., by the DDP, and, the DDP subsidized every single department in this country, took control over the airing of the news stations, ousting the channels that don't comply with its beliefs, taking the freedom of the news media press, away from we the people, and we the people are still, putting up with their, abuse of power here!
