"After I separated from my ex-husband, I thought a lot about how we would celebrate the bigger holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving," writes Katie Bingham-Smith. "We talked about it and agreed we'd split Thanksgiving, he'd have the kids on Christmas Eve, and I'd get them on Christmas. We somehow forgot about Halloween."
But Halloween is another one of those holidays that can get tough, it turns out! So she wrote about how they've tackled it over the years.
My family recently spent the day out at our local Renaissance Faire – Tuxedo Park, New York, if you're curious! And I came away with a new appreciation for just how much fun it is a family outing, specifically. And so I wrote up a list of reasons you should check out your local faire. There's probably one just a short drive away. Give it a spin!
