On the recent typhoon's bringing the floods to the midstrip and southern parts of the island, and how DDP does on this, particular, "report card", it's an "F", and the local and central governments still feel good about themselves, talk about blindness, and ignorance of those who ruled over us! With Typhoon Gaemii, bringing in the enormous precipitation, causing the never-before flood of Kaohsiung, I'm sure, that all those living in Kaohsiung is still, feeling the effects. And the fragility of the claims of the flood prevention system that was supposed to last for a hundred, even two hundred years turned completely, fragile, other than working hard in the flood relief, the politicians seemed to be incapable of nothing else but offering the areas, the locals hit the hardest their, sincerest, apologies. It's just, that when some of the officials were about to, paint things over, the ingenuity from the assistance and the apologies, became, completely, diluted.

The president, Lai and the mayor of Kaohsiung, Chen as they made their ways to Menon to offer the disaster relief, they'd claimed, "in the past, the water took over the entire floor, and now it'd only taken over about thirty centimeters in height", suggesting that "the overall civil engineering of flood prevention is working", this sort of claims, sounded cacophonous to our, ears. Especially when the city of Kaohsiung had received so much in the budgets for the flood control, and yet, there's the, city-wide flood, the president even went all out, in touring the city for flood relief, given the mayor "kudos" for his wonderful work, this is a never-seen-before political means of disaster relief all right!
The best proofs of the effect of flood control is the people's feelings, and although the flood in Kaohsiung was the after effect of adverse weather, it is also, the over-embellished, overexaggerated efficacy of the government's flood control program, which led the people to undermine the severity. Just like in our building, after the basement started flooding, we'd begun searching for the sand bags, from before this, we never imagined that we would be flooded, and this state of mind may well exist in the minds of many who lives in Kaohsiung too.

After this disaster, I'm sure, that everybody will become humbler before the disasters hit, because the destructive capabilities of Mother Nature is, immeasurable. I also hope, that the politicians, can really feel the pains of ordinary citizens, to put more heart and mind into civil engineering, instead of wasting their energies on spitting out the politics.
This is still, on how BLIND the DDP government still is, the completely clueless party still feels so good about itself, in its, DELUSIONS, while we the people down HERE on the ground (they're all higher up inside those, god damn ivory towers now!), suffered the consequences of the government's not preparing the land enough for these, natural disasters, and these disasters may have been "natural", but the after effects of the damages caused by these "natural" disasters, sure as HELL, isn't!
