I haven't really been planning exact meals because I wanted to experiment with having cooked components and making meals from those. My family prefers the preplanned dishes. I planned meals from Friday to Friday.
This week's meal plan for dinners:
Friday: Beef and Broccoli over rice, sushi, egg rolls pineapple slices
Saturday: Fresh Pesto over pasta, green salad, fruit salad
Sunday: grilled chicken sandwiches, sweet potato fries, apple slices, green salad
Monday: Beef stew, biscuits, berries
Tuesday: Roast pork, scalloped potatoes, sauteed kale with walnuts and cranberries, squash, beets
Wednesday Lentil soup with kale, bread, cheese, and fruit salad
Thursday: Loaded dinner salads with chicken, roasted vegetables, zucchini fritters, bread sticks and fruit tray
Friday: Lentil sloppy joes, zucchini fries, watermelon
The cost of dinners for 4 people is 42.75. I kept the cost down by baking loaves of bread, and garden produce, making pasta, and our meat from the freezer, and using pantry items.
