Now, I'm not saying everything in my haikus has actually happened. There's artistic license involved, for sure.
But, yesterday, I really did take a Covid test for what felt like allergy symptoms. And the test really did come back negative.
My symptoms got worse during the night, though, and I woke up with laryngitis and a bit of a fever. I called in to work, and, 24 hours after my negative Covid test, I took another test.
You know where this is going.
Yeah. I tested positive for Covid.
I had a feeling, based on how I felt and the laryngitis.
So, I don't know.
I'm fully vaccinated which should mitigate the symptoms and duration. I've been trying to avoid getting Covid, but, after years now of testing, it's almost a relief to see the tests work.
Almost.
After sleeping much of the day, my symptoms have already improved. My nose has quit running. My throat doesn't feel all raw when I cough. The coughs are productive.
The persistent headache is probably the worst part right now. I definitely feel fatigued.
Anyhow.
That's all.
i don't want to jinx myself by speculating about recovery. We'll watch and wait.
But, I had to set the record straight, poetic license notwithstanding.
