And, the truth of the affair is, nobody knows, because the woman who got "caught", denied everything, and, it may be a political character assassination on the DDP officials, who knows, but that's the claims here…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The news media publicized three claims from Chang, other than apologizing to Lee's wife, she'd stressed that she'd worked hard on her own, saved up the money, purchased the secondhand owned property, that she had absolutely NO relations with the construction company owner, that he wasn't, kept by Lee.
Chang's statement apologized to Lee's wife and families, but she'd pointed out, due to the many speculations of the news media press, to the point of her PTT account got hacked and posts were published using her name, that her character had been, destroyed, "I did something wrong, I should be blamed for it, but, the truth should not get, distorted."
The statement pointed out, in a friend's gathering in 2009 and 2010, she'd become acquainted with Lee, who was the department head of the public health of constructions of Taipei, they fell in love, later, Lee moved his family to Tainan, where he was the head of water facilities, they'd ended the love affair and became just friends, that it wasn't like the board rumored, that the government official, Lee had, deserted his own, wife for her.
She'd been here for decades, worked really hard, saved up the money, a decade ago, she'd taken a loan from the bank, and bought a secondhand apartment to live in, that she had no private relations with the builders, that she wasn't "stashed in secret" by Lee like the news media rumored by Lee, that this was a total insult for a woman who'd come to Taiwan, worked hard, to make a life for herself.
The statement she'd made stated, that she was from Fuzhou, came to Taiwan, got married, that she is already a Taiwanese citizen, hoping that everybody can accept her as Taiwanese. Some of the news media press projected her as a "foreign spouse" from China, this made her felt that she'd been defamed as a Chinese spy, "I'd lived here for decades, knew the preciousness of Taiwanese democracy, please, do not project things onto the subracial groups due to what you read online." She doesn't expect that society to forgive her, but, asked that the society stop hurting people, this is the tiny wish of someone who admitted to wrongdoing on her part. Finally, she'd offered her sincerest apology to Lee and his families, "I was once a mother, a wife, I'm truly sorry for all the harms I'd caused you and your family."
The legislator from the KMT, Lee believed, that Chang's words were clear and precise to the point, and respected, understood that she wanted nothing more than peace in her life, but, the incident wasn't disclosed by those who were involved in the extramarital affair, the motives and the timing are both, questionable, this should be what the society should, pay more attention, to.
So, this might be a political character assassination, based off of the question proposed by the legislator at the very end, but, whether or not this head of transportation had an affair, isn't the point. The point is, how many more extramarital affairs, sex scandals, money laundering, embezzlement do we need to see, for the people to wise up, and realize, that hey, we do NOT want these, corrupt politicians ruling over, us?
