Describe one positive change you have made in your life.
Gossip was one of the things I let go of for Lent. I wasn't one to repeat much gossip, but I sure would listen. Truthfully, it was difficult to have a phone conversation with one of my friends, She has a mean streak about gossip. It took many prompts to reduce those interactions. I found it turned around the way I felt and how I felt about people. I set the limits with her:
Is this something that I need to know?
Is it kind, is it necessary to say?
Does so and so want me to know?
Interesting, my friend iinformed me that she had gotten herslef into trouble because she didn't have the vault in me, and she had gossiped to someone who didn't have a filter or good boundaries.
I also noticed that our friendship changed. We started talking about Catholic issues and themes more than we have since girlhood.
