A long life is about always be curious about learning, while being a bridge from the past to the future. There is moral responsibility to the narrator to the past and both your inactive and active parts in it. A person who lives a long life should look back upon things with neither pride or regret, only with honesty about having done the very best you can with who you were at the time.
