She'd Worked the Graveyard Shifts & Was in Exposure of Radiation in Her Pregnancy
There is a bullying in the workplace that came out of an unnamed hospital in Zhonghe, Hsinbei City, a female physician from the radiology department accused a senior male physician from the department of making two pregnant female physicians work the overnight shifts, causing the female physicians to be in the exposure of high radiation environment. Yesterday the female physician was interviewed, told, that to secure her position of work, she'd, selected to swallow the unfair treatments down, but the male physician had gone overboard in exploiting her, she couldn't put up with it anymore, so she'd filed a complaint with the hospital.
The assistant director of the hospital, Lee stated, that as soon as the complaints were received, a review committee was set up immediately, after two investigations, the board found the accusations of workplace bullying valid, in the process of the investigations, both were interviewed, and if there are no objections, twenty days after the results of the investigation got posted, the punishment will be, handed, down.
The female physician told, that last year, there's a female older schoolmate from the department who took the maternity leave, and, considering the personnel available on file wasn't short staffed, and only when the personnel staffing became stabler, she'd gotten, pregnant, and when she got pregnant, she was caught in the, exact, same, predicament, she'd been emotionally stressed and seven weeks into her pregnancy, she'd miscarried.
The Department of Sanitation of Hsinbei City sated, that it'd already asked the hospital to explain what had happened, that if laws had been broken, then, the department will have the labor department or social service to fine the hospital; the head of labor examination, Lin pointed out, that the hospital needed to implement a plan against improper work schedules in the workplace, setting up the routes of complaints, the investigators, and employee training, and other preventative measures, the victim had filed the complaints, and the workplace bullying had been found, valid.
As for it being illegal to make the pregnant female physicians work the graveyard shifts, the hospital said, that the workhours of medical professionals aren't protected by the basic labor laws, in other words, physicians have no limit to the hours they work, but as a physician is pregnant, she is, protected the occupational safety laws, the individual can get the managers to assist in exchanging of her shifts. The hospital believes, that the male physician who'd scheduled the shifts did NOT communicate well enough, as the victim filed the complaints back in January, the hospital reassigned the male physician from the scheduling of work shifts already.
And, with men, there's NOT the problem of needing days off when you get pregnant, because we are the ones, getting pregnant, and this is still due to the sexism of the society, of culture, of how there will NEVER be equal basis for the genders in the workplace, or in anything, because, we are essentially, different in our, biological, makeup. And the result in this case, is, a DEAD FETUS!
