My Spouse Cheated, But I'll Never Tell My Kids

Another messy Hollywood split has an anonymous writer thinking about the challenge of co-parenting through betrayal. How are you supposed to keep it together for the kids when you feel nothing but turmoil inside? She recalls: "After confessing he'd been sleeping with another woman for over a month and it was 'eating him alive,' he told me he wanted to stay married and work on our relationship. That was the first time I ever vomited without being sick. I was beside myself with anger and resentment for a long time. But I knew one thing for certain: No matter how angry or upset this affair made me, I'd never tell our three kids." Give it a read.

Add Some Meaning To Your Halloweening

While we know everyone loves Halloween (I may or may not have fake gravestones in my cubicle), we at Scary Mommy think adults and kids alike should have their festive fun while also maybe doing some good for the world. That's why we are so excited about Treat-or-Treat for UNICEF's spooky new QR codes. Starting in the beginning of October, kids and adults alike can use this new mechanism for good. Get creative with how and where you raise awareness and funds, whether it's with your community groups, at Halloween parties or fall events. Talk about thinking outside the box, right?

Check out the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF website for more details and downloadable resources.
