Hello, my name is Sarah and I have an addiction...to school supplies. I only just made this discovery today when I finally had the chance to unpack and collate all the various stashes of school supplies that I had squirreled away all over the house in anticipation of setting up our home education schoolroom.
I mean that is more glue sticks than any family could use in a school year, right? And even if we did somehow work through ALL the new packs of crayons, colored pencils and markers obviously my miscellaneous stash (next to the paints) will still see us through any looming shortage crisis that could arise. Pretty sure I can safely walk away from any future sales of school supplies now. (For the first time ever.)
But this isn't the most exciting part of the spare room. Today I am grateful that a project I've been dreaming about all summer finally got done. I have converted our spare room into the multi-purpose workhorse I need it to be.
The spare room is now: a) guest room, b) Christmas decorations and other long-term storage space, c) kids' arts and crafts center, d) kids' puzzles and board games storage, e) future puppy whelping room, and, last but not least, f) my exercise space!
It ain't pretty or fancy or really even photo worthy but I'm delighted all the same! I've worked hard to lose some weight all summer and I am so excited about this permanent set up that will help me keep it off during the winter.
One step closer to making every inch of our home work for us!
