We picked our Concord grapes a couple days ago, and spent the rest of the day turning them into juice, jam and fruit leather.
I'm blessed with a good washer team.
The majority of the grapes were steamed. We can the juice.
The rest of the grapes were put though the Champion juice, and I used the puree to make jam and fruit leather.
For fruit leather, we boil the purée until it's as thick as tomato sauce, then spread on fruit leather inserts in the dehydrator. After it dries (about two days), we peel it off the inserts, cut it into strips, vacuum seal, and freeze.
Grape day is always busy, but we enjoy the results the rest of the year!
