In Vedic astrology there is something called Karakamsa. It's not another divisional chart but rather a way of predicting your path and destiny in life and so even your future career. In order to find the Karakamsa lagna you will need to find two planets that hold the highest degree. The 1st planet with the highest degree is called Atmakaraka meaning souls purpose. The 2nd planet with the highest degree is called Amatyakaraka and it defines the characteristics of your career. So let me show you how we see can see which zodiac sign makes the Karakamsa Lagna.
As you see the 1st planet which has the highest degree is Jupiter and the 2nd planet with the highest degree is Moon in the D1 chart. To find our Karakamsa lagna we need to focus on Jupiter but in the D9 chart aka Navamsha.
The chart we look at now is the D9 chart aka Navamsha. As I mentioned before we need to focus on our Atmakaraka Jupiter placement but not the house, the sign it sits in. In this chart Jupiter is placed in Aries which means that the Karakamsa lagna for this person (me) is Aries. So what we have to do now is to go back to our D1 chart and just make the house with Aries zodiac sign ( no.1 on the chart) into ascendant.
I have luckily my moon in Aries so I did not need to twist my head too much. But the prediction is not over. So now we see that Atmakaraka Jupiter is placed in the 7th house which is in libra sign. What it tells us is that soul desires to teach the masses and to learn from the masses. The Atmayakaraka moon is in karakamsa lagna so here it shows two things, moon is the mind and aries sign represents the head which means that the path I shall take is of a leader, someone with responsibilities. Now what we need to look at is the 5th house from Karakamsa lagna, it tells us what kind of skills we will gain throughout life to fulfill our souls desire. The 5th from Karakamsa lagna is the sign of Leo. It represents education, children, creativity, romance. Leo is the King. Now if we go a step longer we see that 5th house lord Sun goes in 12th house in Pisces. 12th house stands for imagination, hidden places, university settings, spirituality. So what it indicates is that the life path will involve masses, could be something involving education and creativity and that I will have a powerful position where my word matters.
I hope you enjoyed learning something new. If you knew about Karakamsa before, please leave a comment and tell me about your experiences.
