Your guide to building and communicating your parental leave plan

Hi there,

I hope your (or your partner's) pregnancy is going smoothly and you are feeling strong as you prepare for the arrival of your little one. Your parental leave is probably fast approaching at this point. As I reached the end of my pregnancy, the hardest thing for me was not knowing exactly when I was going to be out. I tried to slow down the amount of new projects I took on, but I still found it challenging to maintain hand-off documents or prepare my colleagues when I literally could go out at any moment (or then again, maybe not for another week or more!).

That's why I created the Mindful Return Maternity Plan template (and one for dads too!). Consider this template a leadership opportunity. The best way to reassure your manager that you are dedicated to your employer's success is by outlining your transition plan. This is your guide to communicating what you need with your entire team before your extended absence. It will help set you and your team up for a successful and smooth transition, in an otherwise crazy time. One less thing to worry about while you are enjoying those precious moments with your baby.  (PS - the template comes with a coupon code for a discount on the Mindful Return course, too!)

You've got this,
