As the days turn colder, the family craves meat. This Sunday morning, I awoke to a quiet house. The children were asleep in their beds, our Golden, Stella was knocking on the door because my husband had put her out when he left for work. I showered and dressed. I sipped my morning coffee and plotted the week's meal plan.

Roasted whole chicken
5-pound pork roast
dozen boiled eggs
lentil meatballs
cooked black beans, chickpeas, and northern beans
The Grains
potatoes(boiled)
baked potatoes
brown rice

tray of roasted carrots, beets, onions, and turnips
shredded cabbage from our garden
prepped salad greens
prepped kale
2 gallons of vegetable soup( this will be lunches and the base for 2 dinners: 1 freezer)

pulled pork with BBQ sauce over rice

chicken fajitas and Spanish rice
lentil meatball (marina sauce) subs, salad
All the meals for the week are prepared and the menu is noted. The prep, cooking and, cleaning took three hours. The savings in time will be a major savings this upcoming week.
