This time of year is always so beautiful in my neck of the woods. I wish I could put it into words better, but I really just appreciate the daylights out of the colors of my little state in October and November, and I am always taking pictures of it.
So, when Jersey Collective announced a photo exhibition with a theme of Autumn in New Jersey, I knew I had a lot of nice images I could submit. I picked five photos I had taken in the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, and two of them were chosen to be included in the opening exhibit of the gallery at the brand new Carteret Performing Arts Center. Yay!
This past Wednesday was the gallery's opening night, and it was a kick to see my images blown up to three feet wide and hanging up alongside 46 others.
This was the first time I had ever submitted my photos to any kind of exhibition, but I will keep an eye out for other opportunities now, I think. It was nice to put myself out there a bit
It's a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Some of these images are posted on Instagram, but many aren't posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples. It's more laid back than the Project 365s of previous years. You can learn more here

Saturday
Got my COVID booster yesterday, and I'm feeling the effects today. It's not quite as intense as the last time, so really it's just a nice weekend in bed, watching TV and having a little fever.
Tuesday
I'm attempting to have healthier lunches. Today it's a Masala Burger from Trader Joes (which is really just a potato patty with Indian spices), in a whole wheat pita with Mango Ginger Chutney, and a bunch of grapes on the side.
Wednesday
Good morning from my coffee crime scene
I submitted some photos to @jerseycollective's Autumn in New Jersey event, and two were chosen. Last night was the opening of the exhibition. So many beautiful New Jersey photos were (and still are) on display
My own images were taken at #greatswampnationalwildliferefuge
Thursday
I made myself another new polymer clay and resin ring. I've now made four of these for myself. I'm starting to think I should put a few in the shop...
Thanks for helping me celebrate the week! If you want to see some of this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Instagram
