When was the last time you felt like you had enough time to do things that you needed to be done? The last time you felt that nothing was missing or broken in your life? i m glad you are here. Maybe this message is for you. Maybe it's your time to disconnect for a moment from anything that is eating your time away, leaving you empty, in a place of unfufillment, worries and hopelessness …
I want to take some time and reflect on happiness today…. I read the following newspaper excerpt from #annlaunders (swipe left) online and it made me smile. And pause.
What if happiness was not a race or a poursuit after all? What if happiness was sitting quiet, right next to you and you' ve been ignoring it? What if happiness was a quite walk instead? Or a sealed enveloppe with the word "take your time" written on the back of it; And a hand written letter enclosed, waiting to be open by You, and read along, and enjoyed? What if happiness was not a Material thing outside to pursue…but a moment in time, a moment spent in you?
We already know it, Time is the most common shared, yet the most valuable piece of information, the most luxurious item that i know anyone posseses in his/ her life. Yet, it is the most underrated. If you are one of us, late bloomers, running on a second chance in life, i'm talking to you… i want to encourage someone today : Nothing is more precious like giving yourself the Time that you need; and you owe to yourself today.
Just because you are on a second chance journey, does not mean your time is shorter. Or that you have to work harder. Please stop running. Whatever you do, know that everything and anything that you pay your time with, how you use your Time, not your money, ought to be more expensive to you than anything else, therefore priceless. There will always be things needing to be done. But there also may never be that one time like today, that single opportunity again, where everything else in your life is waiting for you to stand still is that it can fall into place. Are you paying attention to it?
Notice how some people seem to have more time than others, maybe by accomplishing, it seems, more in a day than others? Maybe you are not in that category. Maybe you are, like me, in a different category of those of us who have accomplished more in them than around them (by learning more, working hard, and living less "on the edge"). And It is absolutely possible, and absolutely okay. And even outstanding. You can spent a lifetime coming and going in a day; everyday learning; doing, giving; taking etc… without ever finding peace or happiness.
Of course, being busy is all worth something. Maybe worth more than I will ever know. But perfection, i know, is only also a variable of time, not people. Wholeness, feeling and being complete, can also be achieved in stillness. Of course, we all need to try our best everyday. But seasons come and go, and they bring about what it takes to turn something once impossible or vile into the masterpiece moment we are all waiting for, where all the broken pieces that's missing in your life are connecting in a perfect way.
If you don't seem to have enough time, maybe you are doing too much? If i'm saying anything to you today it is this: don't spend your life chasing after time. run it. Own each moment. Content in it. Don't chase time, enjoy your moment. But don't ruin it looking over for what you can't have now. There was a then, there is a now. there may be a later, there may not. But there is a now. As for now, Enjoy your Time. Even if it means, especially when it means, slowing down to enjoy the quiet peace of a moment. Who knows ? You may find your happiness without looking too far, or too long for it. If you can't wait for something to happen to you, turn it into a song, a photograph, poetry, turn it into a healthy memory, a token that will always remind you whereever you may be, to be grateful. Whatever you choose to do with your time, you can choose to gain from it, and not waste it. You can undo, unlearn with care and purpose. What are you doing with your time will come back to you. How do you keep up with your Time ?
