Hello !
What if i told you that it is completely possible to repurpose a "falling" dream…?
Now… what do I mean by that? I'm glad you asked. I mean.. what if it was possible to keep a dream, yet use it with a different perspective or mindset, for a different purpose than previously imagined… ? Yes , it is possible. I believe that achieving a different purpose with a dream that may have been lost otherwise is possible.
Alhough it may take different roads, you can still reach the same outcome. No dreams are lost, when they lead to one and the same outcome. That outcome is happiness.
I want to use a quick story for illustration…
I am always inspired by Nina Simone for many reasons, and there is a specific reason that is especially close to my heart. Nina Simone's original dream was to become a scholar, a concert pianist; a classical singer and performer. She never made it to that dream. She was denied admission to a shool to pursue her dream, despite a well received audition. Yet, Nina Simone became instead a true inspiration to loads of people like myself who are truly inspired by her life's story, her gift, her talent. She inspired many of us, one way or another, to follow our dreams. Can a fallen dream be still inspiring, even to me or you today, or whoever who dreamt it? I think so. Thank You Nina.
If you' ve fallen off track, if your life circumstances do not work out the way you had planned, this word is for you. I want to enourage you today. Don't throw it all away yet. Take some time to reflect on what you have been able to accomplish on that falling dream. Hold on to it until you' ve drawn the best outcome, the best conclusion. Focus on the outcome, happiness, not what you thought it took to make your dream come true.
If you are making a decision to hold on to that dream, i want to encourage you. How can you repurpose a dream that didn't come through, and claim your happiness back? By losing all regrets. And Resetting a New purpose on that dream… As for me, That's also in the process of being tested, and approved.
I want to use another quick story for illustration…
I designed a fabric napkin ring in my house, years ago, with expensive pice of locally handmade textile. Despite all my desperate attempt to market it, the napkin then designed as a table set did not sell. I was highly disappointed; but i kept those napkin rings anyway, for many years.
Recently, i was encouraged from working on a different project to re use my old napkin rings. I just tempted to try the same fabric napkin ring, and use it instead this time around, as an open pocket to keep my favorite shades safe, and stylish..: who knew that was possible ? I just couldn't let go if that beautiful raffia fabric. And it now It is not letting me down. You know what else happened? No more scratches on the plastic lenses on my shades.
Definetely a keeper now. Tested and approved. Same fabric napkin ring... different purpose.
My encouragement for myself and someone out there today, is this… (just a thought)… you can actually repurpose a good dream. Don't change that dream, don't throw it away, before you know what it is made of. Don't lose your dream. Find a New purpose for it.
Enjoy your summer journey…
