If this is your day for rest like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged today by this wonderful verse from Luke 13 Verse 24:
Luke 13 v 24: The Narrow Door {Gate}. Faith doesn't follow a popular theory, our faith needs to be a relationship of our own, with the God that loves us, and gave Himself and so much for us. We can't get on a bandwagon of faith, for the door of faith we are to navigate is narrow by His name We can relate celebrate and enjoy our faith with others, but the individual price of our faith should always remain special to us.
In Luke 13 v 22-30 Jesus is explaining, 'The Narrow Door (Gate)'. It is an individual process, we can't hide ourselves in a crowd, or sneak through in the middle of them. The Narrow door, is the place, where we see and identify with, Jesus as the Messiah for ourselves.
There might be a crowd stopping at the gate, but because of public opinion and philosophies that is as far as they go. The people who are in the crowd, want to be in keep with popular public opinion and philosophies of their time. To follow Jesus and our Lord and our Friend, we need to step out individually and follow. The door requires individual choice.
Stepping out, represents dying to self, of the acceptance of wanting to be accepted for who we are by those around us. Stepping into a place that identifies us, as wanting to go a different way, without really understanding the awesomeness of the choice. To the crowd, the door looks narrow and doesn't seem much to hold their attention, but the door might look narrow, but it leads to eternal life and relationship with Our Awesome God. A place of indescribable riches.
The Narrow Gate is set apart, stepping out of things and concepts most common, into a life, where God's promise for our lives are true, and He promises never to leave us or forsake us, something the crowd of the world can't do, when the tide of public opinions and philosophies keeps turning.
The Narrow Gate represents , stepping into His Kingdom, where we are valued, more than we ever know. Step out, step through, people may not follow, but if we walk in the fullness of stepping out beyond the door, world will surely know the difference, that has come to our lives.
