Someone defended school party by saying that the family attends social functions and they are not hermits.....bla bla bla
Please note that not every woman or home thinks Saturdays are for parties , some of us think it is for rest and relaxation and we kick off our R&R from Friday by going straight home with a big bowl of ice cream or barbeque or whatever rocks your boat.
Having said that, the idea that a party must have noise in form of music and cantankerous often untrained MC/DJ is something that makes me conclude that these parties are actually traumatic for all except those who are extremely sanguine.
Defending school parties where your kids are often exposed to lewd dances and songs, which invalidates a good portion of home training, just because you think the child would feel left out begs the question, of what use is the party to the child.
Is it really for the child or to show that you can afford it, or even to show new outfits or even your fashion sense
You are the one thinking the child feels left out, have you actually asked if the child wants to go?
Have you actually considered how exhausted the kids feel from putting up appearance for hours like a show piece?
How many of you actually discussed if your child has other ideas for socialising asides parties ?
Give a thought to these questions and ask yourself again, is it really about money for those who often chose not to pay or attended despite paying or do they just prioritise the mental wellness of their children above the social segregation that attending or not attending puts on children.
