Tell me this wouldn't make your blood boil. Today's writer — who is anonymous — once drove six hours to visit her mother-in-law a month after her first child was born. When they arrived, she had to pee (obviously!) and asked her husband to change the baby. She got a LOOK from her mother-in-law, but kept it moving. And this happened: "As we all sat around the dinner table, I could barely keep my eyes open. I picked up our baby, and said, 'Let's go do bedtime. I'm exhausted.' At that point, my mother-in-law jumped in: 'I did all the feeding, changing, and putting the kids to bed because that was MY job.' Whew! It didn't stop there, either. Read on for how the MIL's behavior has impacted her marriage. Kelly Faircloth, Executive Editor |
