A new month is a new beginning!
A new month is a new start. A time to unwind and reflect on the goals you've set out to achieve. Whether you were able to achieve them in April or not, what matters is that you've made it to a new beginning. It's always easy focusing on what you haven't yet accomplished or becoming swayed by the numbers, stats and data all around that you become frustrated with where you are due to impatience or fear.
I want to remind you that a new beginning teaches you to be kind to yourself; to take off the pressure and weight that so easily entangles you and become the individual you've been called to. The goals you've set for yourself can only be achieved when your mind is free from clutter and distractions. It may be easier said than done, but when you have an aim to inspire, influence and change the world one step at a time, you are able to be intentional about what you choose to keep your mind on.
I remember speaking to my mum and dear friend today saying if only we had bank holidays every Monday or at least once a month; how great would that be! But during our bank holidays, are we still being anxious about tomorrow? Have we come off track by trying to keep up with our external environments or the pressure we see to be something that doesn't exist all at the expense of losing the quality time spent in solitude with self?
No matter how busy the month of May is, remember that it is a new beginning, and new beginnings come with a renewed mindset that can take you further if you allow it to. It takes time to unwind and enjoy your season. No need to become excessive with planning each day that the month of May brings. This is not to say you should become complacent or lazy, but wise, sensible, discerning and active in your dealings without having to be in control of the outcomes. You are where you are for a reason.
Do yourself exceedingly good this month and take each day as key lessons to learn, grow and evolve into the person you've been called to be. Remind yourself each day that you're doing great even when it looks like nothing is happening. Whether it's continuing to write your book, apply for the promotion at work, connect with your community, visit your neighbour, volunteer for charity, look after your home, build your business, work on increasing your finances, investing in your physical and mental wellbeing; the fact that you are alive and reading this indicates there's more for you! It's not the time to settle.
Number 5 represents grace, so I stand with you in full confidence that the month of May will show much grace and favour to you and your loved ones.
Make each moment count and remember that your best days are truly ahead of you.
