Chaplain's Chat
Well, what a time of unprecedented events it has been - a world that has changed so much in the last little while, causing uncertainty, confusion, worry, stress, fear and panic. Faced with uncertain futures, and the challenges of work, health, and everyday living, we now, more than ever, need a strength and hope that will carry us through.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed."
What a great reminder that God is our strength and hope, an ever present help in time of trouble. I would like to further encourage you with a prayer of hope as we continue to live each day with the assurance of God's Presence.
Dear Heavenly Father, since You are with us, nothing that has happened, nothing still to come, can rob us of our hope in Christ. Sustain us, we ask you, during these times of uncertainty.
Bless all the emergency and medical personnel who are caring for the sick and working under stressful conditions. Please grant swift recovery to those who are ill, and comfort their families and loved ones, and encourage those who are afraid.
Lord, bind us now, more than ever, to You and to each other, so that we may triumph by the power of Him who loves us, our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.
