It's not healthy or wise to assume that because someone has a large number of followers or clients, that it is guaranteed to expand going forwards. We have to be mindful that gradual steps play a big part throughout the journey. Why do we get so caught up in trying to make ends meet, through straining, worrying and trying to beat the competition? When have we taken the time to be still and enjoy what the current season is teaching us?
When it comes to rejection, there is a tendency to equate that to failure, or when we make mistakes, we don't feel 'qualified' enough to reach the next level. When you experience different encounters with other people; whether in organisations, networking events and developing key relationships, it can seem daunting because you may not know where to start. Nonetheless, how about using discernment and wisdom to understand your position in the external environments surrounded by you, and choose the relevant support systems to keep you going?
It is important that we don't succumb to what others are saying without doing your own research and due diligence. Every advice that is given may not always be the best advice for you. Rather; we should and must be bold and confident to work wisely with what we have and ensure that every relationship is a win-win. No matter who you are, you are valuable, whether they notice you or not. You are not responsible for trying to make everything go your way; however, you are responsible for the way you respond to others who may oppose what you say.
Be honest with yourself and find out why you attract the same people in your life, or you don't see growth in your endeavours. It's not that you don't have value; it is because you HAVE value, but you are placing it in environments that aren't in alignment to what you believe. Putting a seed in the soil is one process; the next process is to water it, ensuring it has the right nutrients to work it. The sun is also essential for the seed to be effective. In other words, you need the right people to keep you going and ensure you stay on track, regardless of the distractions that come your way.
Having the right community is a gift that when you have it, cherish and appreciate what is given. Don't take it for granted, for there are many people who want to be in your position. I say this again; it is not always about the numbers, because the outcome will indicate how well your environment has worked to produce results that benefit everyone who is attached to them; not just some. This is how followers are lost because those who follow are looking for ways to be influenced, not manipulated. We don't want to assume that following more people will equate to more success if you haven't developed a good and solid relationship with others.
Let these remaining few months in 2023 make you realise your value and worth, and to not succumb to the number of followers you have, but to ensure YOU are providing value to all those who follow you without fail.
It would be good to know your thoughts and share experiences where you felt the numbers equate to success; and rather, coming to a place where you understand when your team wins, you win; when someone you have helped in the past becomes successful, you both WIN! What are you doing to make your followers win?
Till next time.
