The Couple Spent up to Over Tens of Thousands of Dollars on Air-Conditioning, But Excused Themselves for Not Having Enough Money to Get Their Young Son Treated
A couple in Taichung had a second son who was premature born, at age four, he is only 2'7, in skins and bones, the parents were quite passive in caring for the child, not getting him to the hospitals, and even when the child was severely burned, they'd not gotten him into the E.R., causing him to die; the courts found, that the parents would rather get their air-conditioning running, spending over $10,000N.T.s, and refused to pay their young son's medical treatment bills, and, in the crisis of his life and death, they'd, mistreated, neglected him, on the first and second trials, the parents were both found guilty of death by neglect, sentenced to seven years ten months and seven years seven months.
The investigators found, that this couple had three sons total, the second son was prematurely born at only thirty-one weeks, weighed only 1,336 grams at birth, exerted signs of language development delays, not as mobile as children his age, but the couple used the excuses of not having enough money, refused to spend the money on the medical treatment needs of their young son, and, passively coped with the child's developmental delay issues, not followed the advice of the hospital's on getting the child to return to get treated, in the vaccination in 2015, the physician found, that the boy was clearly, underweight.

The D.A. investigated and found, that the couple rarely took their second son outside, which caused him to not receive the needed medical care and treatment long-term, at age four, the child still couldn't control his own bowels, and was in diapers, his legs were atrophied, one leg was shorter than the other, and he had problems with his balance and mobility, and was way below average in weight and height compared to children his age.
In November of 2018, the child started a hot bath by himself, caused a thirty-percent surface burn of his body, and as his mother found him, she'd only, put the ointment over his skin, wrapped up his hands in bandages, and not taken him to the E.R., and the following day, the child's father saw that his son was seriously injured, and wanted to call the fire department, but his wife told him that the cost of treatment would be too high, prevented him from getting the help his young child needed, during this time, as the couple saw their son's skin falling out, his injuries become too severe that he'd become, totally, weakened, until the young boy went into shock, and then, finally, took him in, and the child was, dead.
The first trial of the Taichung District Court found the couple guilty of damaging the wellbeing of child under age sixteen, abandonment of a child causing death, sentenced them both to seven years ten months and seven years, seven months in prison.
The case went to a second appeal, the Taichung High Subsidiary Courts discovered, that the couple had spent most of their money on the internet bills, the air-conditioning, with the air-conditioning running 24/7 in the summer, that although the couple wasn't economically stable, but the cost of television, internet, and other recreational costs, are weighed more heavily than their own young child's medical costs, that they'd not fulfilled their responsibilities to raise up their young.
The verdict pointed out, that the couple didn't give their second son the medical care that he needed, wouldn't even take the child out to get the sun to run around, that in the moment of their son's life and death, they'd still, wanted to save the money on his medical treatment, the two had NO just reason to file for the charges to get dismissed, tossed back the appeal.
So, these bad parents, allowed their own younger son to die, the child was developmentally delayed, which means, that the parents SHOULD, spend more time with him, to help him get caught up with his, age group, but instead, they'd, let him die, not taken him to get treated when he was will, starved him, and now the child is dead, and the parents DESERVE as harsh a punishment as they will get, for MURDERING their own young by neglecting him!
