How this CONCRETE jungle isn't good for any living thing to live in, and yet, we're still, tearing nature down, building those, apartment complexes higher, higher, higher, and higher, because we need spaces to live in, well, guess what, the NATURE needs to, flourish too, and, Mother Nature had been around, much, much, MUCH longer than we as a species, had…translated…
Recently, I'd read along with my children an illustrated book, "The Bulldozer Came by the Year: Changing the Countryside Completely", the entire book was made with seven folded pictures total, no words, the author, Jorg Muller, the entire book is made up of seven folded pictures, with NO words; the author, Jorg Muller used the realistic illustrations to sketch out the same place, using the same angle, year after year, showing the changes.
as this, takes over the world...photo from online
After my child and I read, we were both, moved, there were the new floors getting renovated on annually where we live too. Just last month upstairs from us, there was a total renovation, the drilling sounds came through our roof, tearing the peace and quiet of the entire building apart; finally, there was, a few days of, not so much noises, then, the posts in the elevator showed, that next month, it would be the downstairs neighbors who are to begin remodeling. Looking at the garbage left over from the constructions getting hauled out regularly, started stacking up, then getting hauled off, day after day, week after week, month after, month.
On Sunday morn, the school that's on the other side of the river from us, started getting noisy too, my child followed the noises, looked toward the balcony, the trees were being, trimmed. But, the workers hired to do the job, had, chopped the branches to an eyesore, chopped off the canopy completely; and yet, the trees, in order to survive, relied on the leaves for the process of photosynthesis, to make the nutrients they needed to live off, without the leaves, the trees simply, can't repair themselves, and the exposed trunks, with the open wounds, increased the chances of the trees contracting the diseases, the incorrect way of trimming down the trees, had damaged the living organisms that were a part of the, biosphere.
Two days later, more than dozens of bees flew into my kitchen that's, close to my balcony, as I was walking into the kitchen, I saw the bees, buzzing all around me, I was, confused, as there was no flowering plants in my home, and all my potted plants are all, outside on my balcony, how come, so many bees are, coming into my, home, and for what?
As I was trying to figure it all out, suddenly, it'd dawned on me, the landlord that owned the lot on the back of my building sold the land, and, chopped off the greens on it, paved the cement over the soils, along with the nearby school's trimming its trees of late, causing the living organisms to be without their, homes.
People are, destroying the habitats, and believed that we are, restructuring the environments for the better, and, as a nobody, what can I do, for the, bees? Writing an email to the school's main office, make a suggestion to the committee of homeowners of my community………….
this will soon be, EXTINCT! Photo from online
I am only one, I only hope, that my voice, can help sown that seed of environmentalism down, for others.
And so, this is how we humans, destroyed the NATURAL habitats of other living organisms, and, as this continues, Mother Nature will BITE us BACK on our asses, take a look at the deforestation in the countries all around, and see how each and every year, the weather is getting worse and worse, and worse, more natural disasters are coming to humans' way, if we keep on raping, Mother Nature, and this is a VITAL lesson that we as human beings, must learn, and yet, do we? Of course N-O-T, because, we are running out of space to live, so we must, build more and more, places, turning the green world into, a CONCRETE JUNGLE, where NOBODY lives!
