In this final episode of an attempt to enumerate the totality of valuable things that have not been carried forward from the European and English-speaking past, The Slog examines the rapid decline in MSM objectivity, the inept naivety of Keir Starmer that has robbed Britain of an effective Opposition, the madness of mass immigration driven by the scorched-earth demands of New World Disorder, the loss of economic reality that every Sunak policy represents....but above all, the now near certainty of the United Kingdom's independence being sacrificed on the Satanic altar of totalitarian World Government as a result of losing the principle of efficacious Opposition.
Continuing the theme of things going down the toilet, up the pictures, round the bend and two stops past Barking, I've been re-reading former BBC journalist John Sergeant's memoirs of late. Published in 2001, they're still a cracking read, but hugely evidential throughout in supporting the contention that our media in general - and the Beeb in particular - have lost all sense of independence and balance when it comes to the provenance that delivers credibility to the ''news''.
Although something of a satirist in his youth, like so many BBC correspondents back in the day, Sergeant's stuff was accurate and analytical, but throughout his career it was [quite rightly] impossible to say which side of the Commons quadrangle his sympathies lay. Talking about the Falklands war that saved Thatcher's political skin, John wrote at the turn of the century:
The three-word key to the above guideline is 'in different hands', because less than a quarter-century further on, almost all of those who either fought in World War II [or like me were steeped in an integrated education system stressing its revulsion for what the Germans did and Geobbels preached....while reading literature of an Orwellian bent] have retired to grow roses, go bonkers, or push up daisies. They have left behind progeny who really aren't entirely sure whether George Orwell's dystopian futurism was a warning - or a blueprint for succession to absolute power.
John Sergeant's reassuring prose look a bit sick now, but what happened to the BBC after his retirement in no way reflects badly on him. It casts a dark shadow over the politicians, bourse investment giga-Gargoyles, online trolls and international media houses from Reuters to AfP, but the treason of BBC bureau-hacks has been the most galling part of all - most notably during their slavish broadcasting of the State line on Covid19 policies and the efficacy of so-called vaccines, the entirety of which has collapsed in a dung-heap of shame the Beeb continues to ignore at every turn.
So then, just twenty three years for a free press to become a State propaganda foghorn, and over 88 per cent of the citizenry to accept that willingly. Thus do the Empires that become Commonwealths end, having ruled the majority of the Earth's land masses from Arkansas via Labrador and all stops to Zaire.
But the mysteriously wealthy Tony Blurrrrr told the Commons, ''Everything is just the same as it was, only better''. I posted this little gem on Elontwatter yesterday:
We are talking about the most successful Labour election-winner in history. Fourteen years later, the best Labour can do [when not trying to suggest that Teflon Tony was never really a man of the Left anyway] is salute Keir Starmer, a bloke who admits openly to being a fan of WEF Davosites because - you'll love this classic - ''Westminster's too constraining, it's just a tribal shouting place. Davos, on the other hand, is a somewhere you can engage with people...people you can see yourself working with in the future''. The naivety of this bloke not only makes clear his attachment to the New Global Order, more of his utterances this year have sent shivers of fear down the jittery spines of every Brit who values liberty and meaningful democracy: not least his odd assertion that ''Say what you like about Klaus Schwab, he offers refreshingly different ideas''.
Here's Keir in his Ubermenschsturmer Herrenvolk identity being supportive to the spawn of Fidel Castro's loins, aka Justin Trudeau who looks nothing like his Dad Pierre, whose wife was something of a ''wild-child'' slapper who ensured her son looks like a clone of his real Cuban father....a raging ideologue whose concept of democratic freedom made the USSR look like the Garden of Eden. Here they are together at the Global Action Summit last September. Would you vote for any UK leader cuddling up to Just Intrudeau the New World Order Fascist totalitarian who slagged off every Canuck vaccine Refusenik as ''an anti-social extremist''?
Of course you wouldn't, right? That's the sort of thing despicable Tories like Fishy Eunuch would do. And oh - look, there's Dishy Rishy [left] discussing with Unjust Nottruedo about what a great guy Ukraine's Zelensky is for holding back the feral hordes of Ruski rapists. IABATO folks - It's All Bollocks And That's Official: you vote in a free society where you can choose between an equality of evils....and feel sure that your vote will count. It will count like this: ten-nine-eight-seven-six-five-four-three-two-one until there's no longer any need to vote, because there is ''a consensus for settled politically global science, under which the organs of the State will wither away and Homo sapiens will readily accept it''.
Thanks are due to Vladimir Ilyitch Ulyanov (better known as Lenin) for this prediction of the future emitted from his preserved mausoleum - which was as wrong then as indeed the NWO Promised Land will prove to be for every creative, science-debunking and open mind on our planet.
I write this on the day I read that Prime Sinister Sunak wants to ban all under-sixteens from access to social media. It's the thin edge of the wedge, but has evoked little or no MSM comment. But the overall point in this section is that the most important thing the political class has lost is the ability to form an effective Opposition
Other things we have lost (or deliberately suppressed) since around 1965 continue to pop up and poke every Smuggie ''progressive'' in the eye. Another thing John Sergeant's memoirs highlight is the absence of detailed analysis of economic realities so common and assumed in the era of LBJ, Harold Wilson, Ted Heath and Dick Nixon.
So here's my take (using readily available data) on why anyone who expects 2024 to have more economic promise than 2023 is several bricks short of a load, and missing several slates on the roof when it comes to the rainy days. Let's first of all list what the socio-economic conditions would have to be for us to find a growth-GDP-FDR type of escape from the mess created by the Bourse neolibs at home and the Pentagon neocons elsewhere:
- Inflation going down alongside real wage spending values going up
- Falling unemployment to boost confidence in borrowing
- Falling interest rates to encourage domestic investment among stayers, small business investment among entrepreneurs, and property trading-up among family formers
- Rising house prices to justify emotional feelings of being better off''
- Stable welfare costs to keep tax rates low.
What we have in reality is the almost perfectly diametric opposite to all five of those needs in the Sunak reign of Horror. That is to say...
*The UK Inflation Rate is at 4.6% ...far higher than the long term average of 2.82%.
* UK Wage rates grew only by 1.3% in real terms after Covid self-inflicted overall inflation is taken into account.
*The UK unemployment rate in 2023 will be around 4.2% in Q4: this was an increase of 13,000 since Q3 ...and 206,000 more than the figure for 2020
*The average UK house price was £288,000 in June 2023, which is £5,000 higher than 12 months ago, but £5,000 below the recent peak in November 2022. House sales reaching completion fell 21% year-on-year to about 1m in 2023, the lowest level since 2012.
*Immigration as an additional cost shows that total net migrants into UK continued to add to the population with net migration at 606,000 in 2022; most people arriving to the UK in 2022 were non-EU nationals (925,000)....but this is dwarfed by the expected new arrivals in UK of 1.3 million very similar migrants...more than doubled year on year.
Western electorates have, in turn, lost both the discernment and the will to put political leaders on the rack, while monied bourse power has removed the MSM's freedom to "publish and be damned".
It is all profoundly ironic, and perilously close to being moronic: those who would write me off as conspiranoid are asking me in all feigned seriousness to accept that the United Kingdom is disappearing into this downward-sucking socio-economic quicksand because Rishi Sunack is a congenitally stupid numerophobe who has always been unsure about the number of toes on his feet.
In truth, Sunak emerged at a very young age as something of a mathematical prodigy - hardly surprising genetically, given the ability of his relatives to be hugely successful business billionaires. It is thus ridiculous to put the "blame" for Britain's increasingly existential crisis at the door marked 'incompetence': such a surreal conclusion is up there with revisionist attempts to suggest that the Nazi murderous psycho doctor Mengele was actually the Head Rabbi based at the Golders Green synagogue in north London from 1947 until he was caught daubing Swastikas onto the Panzer's Deli window display in 1958.
The media continue to tiptoe on broken glass around what they insist are simply mass hallucinations about a large and smelly elephant in the Room 1o1 that is our 21st Century United Kingdom.
It really is not a tenable position, even in the medium term. Increasingly, western voters are asking not so much "How?" as "Why?" The 'Why' thing was studiously and consistently ignored by the UK Covid inquiry. This simply isn't going to be enough.
This recent Slog emphasis on ''what Britain has lost'' is - I think - now pretty well done and dusted. To round it off for the time being, I conclude two things about my homeland: first, the main thing it has lost is its independence; and second, there is little or no sign that our citizens have the will remedy that.
Let's face it: if the UK was to hold another EU referendum in the near future, a clear majority would vote to rejoin the SS Eutanic. I do not shrink from the Eutanic word play - my standard gag about rowing towards the Titanic - but majority opinion in the UK is not with me on this, and the political class as represented by Sunak and Starmer are as one in that they both want to get back on board the mortally iceberged white elephant. It will go down in history as the worst decision we ever made, but Westminster [and Yoof/London voters in general] are not interested in what the data says, being post-empiricist blocist/globalists by brainwashing and subsequent outlook.
As the title of this post clearly suggests, our self-styled Leaders will indeed mislead us. My sign-off remains therefore where we started out: with the aim of protecting the Past at all costs, and forming a new style of medium - inaccessible to those who own the social media and the MSM.
That's the challenge. Without meeting it with actions rather than words, it won't be a case of what Britons have forgotten; rather, it'll be a woefully unlamented cremation whose ashes are Gone With the Wind.
