A state of rest From the Heart
The spiritual world focuses on growth (knowing that growth will automatically produce progress), while the natural physical world focuses on effort. This focus on effort has resulted in many people becoming both physically and spiritually exhausted.
If we allow ourselves to grow into the things of the Spirit, we'd find that life is like flowing in a life-stream of energy, carried by the power supplied in our spirits by the Holy Spirit, so we can accomplish our destiny.
Hebrews 4:10 "For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works, as God did from His." NKJV We are to walk in the works that God has prepared beforehand for us, and not "strain" or "stress" to accomplish them. (Ephesians 2:10). "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." NKJV
This workmanship is the inner working, transformation and impartation that takes place within our spirits. It is not our self-effort but the power of God's grace working in us and through us. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8. Our Lord and Friend has provided all necessary to achieve our purpose in life – to know Him and to make Him known. "God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases Him." Philippians 2:13 The Passion Translation
Our Lord and Friend, in John 15:1-8 teaches us about abiding in Christ, the true vine, and allowing Him to abide in us, and thereby we will bear much fruit, and glorify Father God. Let's enter into the rest of abiding in Him; allowing His life-giving Presence to flow into every area of our lives.
Shalom.
Kath.
