My weekly deep scrub was later this week. Honestly. I keep a tidy house and I am always cleaning. The weekly scrub is satisifying when I see that pile of cleaning cloths and floor pads piled up. Our son woke up and said, "The house smells like a fancy hotel."
Our vet asked me if I would like to raise a couple of cows on his land. I said I would. We had a cow year once for 6 months, I couldn't stand it. My horses are still doing well. We are breeding our Mare in April. I have a gelding rescue. His eldery owner couldn't care for him any more.
One of kids' online class instructors is utterly useless. She has not opened thei videos. She doesn't have a phone number to be contacted. Enough, she refused 2 of their projects. She claims that can't be opened. Not true, so we were be withdrawning from that class on Monday.
Dinner is pot roast with scalloped potatoes, green beans and beets from the pantry shelf. I will add a green salad with pears and walnuts.
Our goats and chickens are still keeping us in abudance.
Money -savings for today:

Produce at the small grocery store in town 10 dollars, it is worth about 35
Online earnings this week 225.00
Etsy store 500
As we all know prices aren't getting lower. Spending less is not the answer if you want to save, pay off debt, and have wiggle room. In November, 2022, I wrote that it is possible to thrive for 1700 a month. https://wordpress.com/post/homemakingonthwesternslopes.wordpress.com/9117
Now, mind you this is with the batering, homesteading, and making things. This doesn't include my income or our rental income. Yes, even my earning are ours, however, "my earnings" are banked for retirement, the second rental, and education costs. The family business started making a profit around two years ago. The children are paid an hourly wage for working 3 days a week. One of rentals is turning into a money pit, so we have to make some adjustments.
Since November of 2002, our expenses have increased to 2, 400. Changes in medical insurance was 350. My employer changed the health care coverage again. The other 350 dollars is for our granddaughter's preschool which is 100 dollars a month, "a car payment", and cost of living. "The car payment" is saving 150 for another van when we trade the current one in. We trade our cars in to keep the value. We never have a car payment for more than 2 years.
