These FUCKING (don't pardon me!) DDP government officials still REFUSE to acknowledge the TRUTH about how they'd, RUINED the country in the pandemic, and the futures of the younger generations of students, and this is the, RESIDUAL poison of the DICTATORSHIP of Tsai, and it'll continue with Lai's regime of this country for four more, years to come…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
Recently, the head of Department of Education announced, that there's no need to implement a new set of curriculum, that there's only the need for "minor adjustments" on the already in place curriculum. As a victim of the 2019 Curricular Reform, I was, really, shocked. There are so many holes in the 2019 Curricular Reform, if it is to get adjusted "minorly" like the Department of Education stated it will be, then, wouldn't the students going to school continue to get, damaged? Education is the keystone of the foundation of a country, and the wrong education can cause, irreparable, irreversible damage to the society, and the Department of Education is still on that, feel-good trip, believing that the 2019 Curricular Reform was a huge, success, it's so, regrettable.
The 2019 Curricular Reform had widen the gap between the rich and the poor, take for instance, the Learning Process Profiles, this was used as the basis of consideration of college entrance, and this is left to the students to do all on their, own, if the students are from better backgrounds, then naturally, they would have more resources for the extracurricular activities, to accumulate the knowledge base, the experiences too, and by comparison, the regular students would have a hard time, producing the, impressive projects, which won't attract the attention of the professors when they'd submitted their college applications
Another major problem of the curriculum, is that it'd added to the burdens of the students, take for instance, the "self-motivated learning means", the schools have the self-learning course periods by the week, and the students can' choose to learn on their own during these class periods, but, there were the academic courses of math, English, science, social studies to work on regularly, with the exams they needed to prepare for, there are rarely, any students who would, take this, "free learning period" to learn on their own, most of us would use this "study hall" to work on the reviews of the courses of the exams we have coming up soon (some would play the cell phone games, to catch up on their, sleep), and, waited until the summers or the winter vacations, then, try to catch up on the self-learning report, and this had, greatly increased the burdens of the, students.
and, here's what that, looks, like, in a, political, cartoon! the children are going to, BREAK the bones in their bodies, trying to, get, back, down all right...found online
Then, there's the problematic systems of getting higher in the levels of education too. Currently, there are, FOUR ways we can get into the universities: the special selections of the students made by the individual universities, the recommendation programs, the college entrance applications, or the college entrance exams. Most of us selected the latter two, and yet, at our final semester in high school, there were still the mandated courses, the exams, and this would put enormous pressures of the students who are doing the individual applications, and those who are taking the common courses, and the individual applicants also needed to make sure their grades of the last semester are acceptable, prepare for the application packets, (self-learning, the learning process profiles, etc., etc., etc.), there's the entrance interviews too, and we're, under, too much, stress.
This is only, a TIP of the iceberg of the multitude of problems with the 2019 Curricular Reform, there's the editorials of the texts, the selection of texts, the text being, too easy, and many more, problems. The Curricular Reform of 2019, plus the pressures of entering into university, compounded with the interpersonal interactions, hitting the students, too hard, there's no way of learning "happily".
Please, the Department of Education, STOP your DELUSIONS of "the 2019 Education Reform is Successful", I suggest that the Department of Education take the visits to the individual schools, to SEE what is, happening, to KNOW the real needs of the students.
So, this is still on how the theory, looks so shiny and bright, but when it comes to the application phase, yeah, it all, went, BUST, because the DDP government set its sights too high, and it can't achieve that, and it's still, too DELUSIONAL, in it's pipedreams of making this country into dual-language by what??? 2030, was it? Yeah, it's only, SIX years away, how the HELL do you think they're going to, achieve that? When all they did up to this point, is, CRUSHING the students, trying to, become more like the western world, using the applications to get the students into accepted into, the universities, huh? Yeah, that's so totally, going to, go, B-U-S-T all right!
