Hello Ludo Community Good afternoon, I come to you in the midst of Wimbledon, and just as England are about to play in the Semi-Finals. I am not the biggest tennis or footie fan and yet the country is gripped! Post election week, it seems to have given people something positive to focus on. I have an 8 year old son and football fever is at top level in our house. Despite not being a mega footie fan, I am on a personal mission this month to do 30 days of exercise. I am on day 7/30 and realise on the non-gym days I need to get creative. Working out at home with squats, lunges and a kettle bell fills the gap on the non-gym days. If you are the mother of a new baby make sure you check out Carifit who we have partnered with. A brilliant way to carry you baby and get fit at the same time. You can learn more HERE. Momentarily back to the election… with a Labour government, there are a few things we will need to be thinking about in the workplace. A series of mini videos will hit the Ludo Insta and Linked In page in the coming days with a heads up. One of the biggies is the plan to make it unlawful for pregnant women to be dismissed and for 6 months from their return date. For those of you in our community who have been with us from the start, you will remember Ludo began, at its very inception, as WoMo (Working Mother). A business set up to transform the world of maternity. Women are often so fearful of the impact on their careers when they have a baby, and the stats show they have every right to be afraid. The Labour plans are a small step towards protecting expecting families and yet it is just a drop in the ocean. We have 3 blogs to share with you, Menopause muscle and joint pain: Everything you need to know, How menopause affects the brain: Navigating menopause brain fog and Beyond Period Taboo: Embracing Menstrual Wellness at Work. |
