A scripture reference in Genesis 5 verse 4: "Enoch walked with God and God took him".
In the verse before it tells us Enoch walked with God for a long, long time in his life.
We must ask the question, then why did he walk and trust God so long? The answer I will give is he found something about God, that most people of his time and people today don't. or don't take the trouble to find about Him.
How sad it is that we spend so much of our time and energy, seeking satisfaction from money, possessions and recreation , and so little time seeking after God? After all He is the true source of our contentment.
Solomon devoted much of his life to obtaining great riches and acquisitions From Ecclesiastes, we read in verse 10 and 11:
Verse 10: "Whatever my eyes desired I did not keep from them".
Yet Solomon goes on to say, from what he conclude about his riches and acquisitions.
Verse 11:"'I found everything to be futile and a pursuit of the wind."
Luke 12 verse 15: "He {Jesus} told them, 'Watch out and be on guard against all greed because one's life is not in the abundance of processions'."
Hebrews 13 verse 5; "Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He himself has said, 'I will.never leave you or forsake you'."
Proverbs 11 verse 28: "Anyone trusting in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like foliage."
It is not about having money or processions, it about how our hearts are, before God.
Mathew 6 verses 31 to 33:
Verse 31: "So don't worry, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear?"
Verse 32: "For the idolaters eagerly seek all these thing, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them."
Verse 33: "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you."
What a wonderful Scripture, on such a misunderstood and such a difficult subject.
To know what The Apostle Paul knew, when He said in:
2 Corinthians 12 verse 9: "But He {Jesus} said to me, 'My Grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.' Therefore, I most gladly boast all the more about my weakness, so that Christ's power may reside in me."
Christ Jesus' Grace is sufficient for anything we do in life, that is ALL we need.
GRACE: God riches at Christ Jesus expense, is more than enough, to make us content in our journey through life.
God Bless.
