How the DDP, was totally, IGNORANT, over how the people DESERVE justice to get SERVED, for the murder of their, loved ones, still, went ahead on, doing away with the death penalty, and there will be more families whose loved ones got brutally murdered, who deserve to see justice get served, but never will, and these members of the families of the victims, they will, NEVER have the closures they need, thanks to the D.D.P., off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
Chang: the Justice System of Taiwan is Cold & Cruel, and HEARTLESS Toward the Victims & Their Families
"At that very moment that I'd Learned the Court Changed His Sentence to Life-Term, I'd Realized, that the Anger Hadn't been, Rooted Up Yet"
"It'd been a, WHOLE DECADE, maybe, time will, eventually heal these, wounds; through taking up Buddhism, I'd, attempted to convince myself to forgive the man who'd, murdered my wife, but, putting it all in practice, it's, impossible for me to", Chang, with the psychological disorder diagnoses of bipolar, depression, etc., etc., etc., fought for a whole decade with the man who'd murdered his own wife, and, what he'd gotten, was the turn of the sentence from the death penalty to life-in-prison, he became emotional, told the press, "the justice system is way too lenient to the perpetrators, but so heartless to the victims."
Chang was a electrical engineering professor in a university, his wife who taught earth science in high school, Chen retired early, to battle her cancer, before she was murdered, it was the fifth year anniversary of her being, finally, cancer free, the oncologist had announced her winning the fight with cancer. Chang still recalled the day of her murder like it was yesterday, he'd told his wife who was heading out, "drive carefully!", and that, was the very last conversation they ever, had, that very evening, he told his three children, in his tears, "This is the hardest time for our, family".
After His Wife Was Murdered, "I Couldn't Sleep for Three Whole Years"
"My life-long partner suddenly, gone, I'd not been able to sleep for three whole, years", Chang recalled, during that period of time, every night he closed his eyes, the life he had with his wife came to his mind, and he can only, drive out to chase after the moon then, as daylight came, he'd returned to school to teach; and, every time he'd walked by the local parks, and down the sidewalks, he was, reminded of his own wife.
a list of pros and cons for capital punishment, found online
Too many memories shared with his wife at home, Chang chose to move away, to leave that place of memories, and, actively involved himself into the choir his wife had joined from before, and the cancer-survivor volunteers.
Chang knew, that facing the long battles in court, every time the courts held its sessions, it's a, reopening on the, wounds that's, begun to, heal, he'd chased his children out of the country, and stayed in Taiwan by himself, to continue to battle it out with the man who'd, murdered his wife on his own. He told truthfully, that he'd started, exerting symptoms of depression, bipolar, the therapist encouraged him to write down his feelings, his thoughts of the trial, and the memories of his own, wife.
He'd Begun Writing to Heal Himself, and Published a Nonfiction Book to Memorialize His Wife, "Our Affinities Didn't End with You Being Gone, Yueh"
Chang used his own diaries, to record down his thoughts and feelings, three years ago, he'd published the book, "After the Major Events of Life—My Connection with Yueh, Still, Continued on", from his families, he went to write about the justice systems, in remembrances of his own wife, and also, found an outlet for his own, thoughts and feelings. He'd written the words, the sketches in the book, was by his daughter who'd studied design, when he became too distraught and couldn't write anymore, he'd, flown to U.S. to escape for a short while, and, his daughter who'd been, traumatized the hardest had, sketched and painted under the bright sun, the two encouraged one another, became each other's support, and came out from grieving together.
The day that Chen was murdered, she had a "floral printed purse" that's light red in color, an evidence in the case, also, the very last connection that Chang had of, his own, wife, every time he showed in court, he'd taken the purse with him. He said, they'd originally made plans to visit Iceland, Canada, these past few years, he'd taken the "floral printed purse" everywhere to visit, like his wife was, right there, beside, him.
well, what about the one who DESERVED to DIE for murdering someone else, huh??? Photo from online
"Life is constantly letting go, but unfortunately, I never had the chance to say a proper goodbye to my wife", Chang was married to his wife for thirty-five years, the family of five had a family portrait planned out, but, two months before the date of the appointment at the photographer's, his wife was, murdered. On Mother's Day, the press reporter interviewed Chang, he held back his tears, "Mother's Day was supposed to be a celebration, but for all of us, it's a day we all much rather, skip."
The whole decade of trial, the suspect didn't get the punishment he deserved, Chang was helpless. He said, as soon as he was told that the sentence had been changed to life-in-prison, he'd realized that the anger had not yet been, gone, only suppressed, that the more than dozens of court proceedings through the ten years' time, the statements by the defendant was like torture, "I'm really, very, tired now." And, despite these cases, of how much the victims, the families of the victims of murders, or other horrific crimes had, suffered, the DDP is still, set on eliminating the DEATH penalty, and it's still we the people's rights that got, SACRIFICED for the DDP's ways of ruling over us all, by AUTHORITARIANISM!
