Finding the right opportunity to jump in, explore, and conquer unknown territories

Some say that Attitude defines altitude. i think that this saying is true. Find something that keeps you grateful everyday; and be grateful for it . Everyday.

Let me start today by breaking a myth.
What you do, or make, or sell, says a lot about who you are…
I've learned early on this year as a jewelry maker that something is more important than what i make and makes it all possible. And that something is what you are made of.

I usually like to write in the morning after prayer and meditation because that is probably the best time of the day for me, where my thoughts are clear and i can take time to reflect on life and the direction that my journey is taking. Over the years, It has helped me focus more, fight anxiety so that i don't attempt to answer those questions that have no simple answer, whenever i am putting down in writing what i am laid on my heart for the day.
Writing in the morning to me or late at night is like a blessing. It is like a prayer. You are talking to God about your now, about your future. You can talk about your fear, you insecurities and also your hopes and dreams. And i like to do it freely, willingly knowing that my day is still ahead of me; lying before me, serene and full of possibilities…

Sometimes we look in the wrong places for inspirations. Most times we look around us for things to copy and duplicate; and forget to look within for what makes everything that we do so unique and unduplicated.

Without getting the right inspirations, without drawing from my own story, what i make would not have been possible to make. Or at least not meaningful to me.

Know that Whatever that you do matters because you matter. Because it matters to you, it will matters to others, namely someone else who is touched/ uplifted by your story. People always come before things. So remember To put you first; and don't forget to write and tell your story in everything you do.

What is you le secret to keeping up with what you are made of?

Four lessons that i learned from taking swimming lessons about conquering new territories. Some lessons in real life are learned while you are taking the test.

First lesson that swimming taught me: the power of making a decision.
Most decisions involve some levels of fear that cannot be ignored. Fear is so powerful. It holds you back when all eyes, including yours, are on you. Fear makes you see all the possibilities of things going wrong. Children learn about fear as soon as they are being taught to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

Knowing what to do when you are struck with fear depends on knowing what is right ( valuing what is right) from what's wrong and speaking to yourself the kind of language that only fear can understand and back away from. The only language that i know that fear can back away from is love. Fear is powerful. But nothing is more powerful than love.

Second lesson i learned freom taking swimming lesson at an early age is letting go, putting to rest the unnecessary stress. When it is time to go, it is time to go. In your "now" moment, the moment of your best opportunity, there are very few things to think about, to focus on. All you must do is put your energy believing the one or two things that truly matter. You get to decide what truly matters to you. That one thing or few things should make you follow through with whatever is right to do. Everything else, you must let go. Hint. You always feel somewhat courageous when you make a decision about what you believe in, what feels right to you.
When you are on the verge of making a decision that will change the rest of your life, there is no easy way to let go. You must go. You must let go.

Third valuable lesson I learned while taking swimming classes is learning while you are taking the test (learning by doing). Some say that academic school prepares you for real life. in this case, there is no preparation. What you learn is real life. So i guess there is no natural age to making an important decision since a baby makes a decision to start walking as soon as he sees people he loves do it. What you feel ready to do will take you there sooner or later if you keep your mind focused on it. Taking the decision to dive into life while feeling unready or unprepared is an eye opener.

Fourth lesson learned…. Creating a new support system around you that will favor you into your new environment. Once you live in a new environment long enough, any new environment, you begin to adapt. Adapting to a new environment is a human and a living being skill. We adapt to survive in any given environment. We don't necessarily adapt to anything new and everything that feels good. We adapt until then...

And it is just the beginning...
