 | It’s time for a change. I want the spark. I want to feel like a teenager in love. I want a crush, and I want to be in a state of limerence. I want butterflies and I want goose bumps. I want excitement and mystery. I’ve been thinking about this for a long time. Here goes: I want to have an affair… with my husband. | | | |  | Some like giving and not receiving, some like both, and there are those who want to reserve all their oral skills for food. | | | | |  | Her husband is an emotionally manipulative prick who has basically conditioned her to think that she’s selfish if she does anything for herself or isn’t constantly home. | | | | |  | We saw the rise of CDs and the death of cassette tapes. We saw the dawn of DVDs and the demise of the VCR. And we all remember the sound of dial up internet and can still hear it in our nightmares. Gen-Xers are unique in being the first and the last of many things, and even though we tend to be the “forgotten” generation, we’re still very much here — and we have a lot to say. | | "Realized today, I'm now in that "older generation." I'm not a "kids these days" type usually, but there's something about Gen X that just sets us apart, and I miss that.
