The boys enter the studio, loaded with stacks of paper.

"Hey, Joon. Got a minute?"

Namjoon turns his chair to face Hoseok. "No. I told you not to bother me." His gaze falls onto the stacks of paper. "What's all this?"

"We printed out a few translations of Christmas poems and songs for you," Seokjin explains while dumping the heavy load onto the desk.

Namjoon raises an eyebrow. "A few?"

"Yeah, a few hundred," Taehyung laughs. "Those will inspire you for sure!"

Namjoon takes a deep breath and is about to tell them to leave, when he sees the eager looks on his friends' faces. He cannot help but laugh. "Thanks, guys. Let's have a look, then." With that, he grabs the first sheet from the stack and reads aloud: "'From outside the grove I came, I must tell you it's Christmassing.' —Christmassing? Is that even a word?"

Seokjin shrugs. "Either Google translate did an amajin job or the writer was insane."

"Here, listen to this translation of a German Christmas song," Jimin clears his throat. "'O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree how green are your leaves'. Umm… what kind of trees are used as Christmas trees in Germany?"

"Fir trees, I would say," Namjoon says with a shrug. "They are most commonly used around the world."

Jimin rubs his chin. "As far as I know a firs are coniferous trees, right? That means they don't have any leaves!"

"Maybe the German word for 'leaf' has another meaning," Hoseok wonders.

Taehyung already searches for an answer using his smartphone. "Let's see. The German word for 'leaf'—'Blatt'—has two different meanings: 'A leaf of a tree' or 'evenly cut piece of paper'."

"Do you think some people craft Christmas trees from paper?" Jungkook asks. "I mean, you can make stars and cranes with paper too. So why not make an entire origami tree?"

While everyone ponders Jungkook's words, Yoongi picks up the translation of a French Christmas song. "'Little Daddy Christmas, when you come down the sky with thousands of toys, don't forget my little shoe.' Does this make sense to anyone of you? Why would anyone want to have a little shoe for a Christmas present—and only one!"

After a few moments of focused reading time, Seokjin sighs and says: "Let's all be honest. These translations sound way too silly to get inspired by them."

"It's all about the performance. Wait, I'll show you." Yoongi gets up and turns on a portable speaker. As soon as the music starts, he showcases his rapping skills:

"Yeah! From outside the grove I came

all the way

just to tell ya

it's CHRIST-MESSING!

I guess you would never believe

I've bought a coniferous tree with leaves!

Santa Claus, I'm asking you

don't forget my little shoe!"

Everyone bursts out into applause after this flawless freestyle performance.

"Not bad," Hoseok comments and gets up from the floor. "But you just have to add more physical expressions." He changes to a different song and starts dancing, lifting his knees up high while spinning from side to side in the rhythm of the music. "Look, this is Santa stomping through the snow." Within the next beat, Hoseok shifts his movements into something that looks like an odd combination of the Twist and the Chicken Dance. "And this symbolizes the Christmas tree. Can you see how green my leaves are?"

"I would be concerned if my Christmas tree started to dance like that in my living room," Jimin remarks, before joining into the laughter.

"So," Jungkook turns to Namjoon. "Did you get some ideas, hyung?"

"Unfortunately not." Namjoon shakes his head. "But you did cheer me up. I'm really motivated to work on my lyrics now."

Namjoon smiles and jots down some key words. It's not much, but at least the paper is not empty anymore.
