The Refugee Council is offering four days of pre-employment training on Zoom with a Refugee Council Trainer and the chance to interview for an eight-week paid placement at local IKEA stores in Sheffield and Doncaster.
The eight-week placements at IKEA can be for 16 or 20 hours a week and are flexible to fit around college or other commitments. If successful, participants can apply internally for permanent positions or contract extensions on completion of their placement.
The Refugee Council claims this is a promising opportunity for refugees to enter the job market with a reputable, understanding and global employer.
