Today we will be talking about accessibility that we all have to almost do whatever we want to do. Almost 99% of us end up using this accessibility for our own destruction (including me).
Let's consider an example of Internet, Internet is such a brilliant thing. We can all use Internet to learn some of really important things which are really necessary for us for example finance, negotiation, cracking conversation and these things are not something you are taught in school but we all end up watching reels or tik-tok.
We have access to entire Internet which includes 1.5 billion websites (while I am writing this blog). For which we all have access but out of this 1.5 billion websites we might know 10 or 15 websites and use 2 or 3 website on regular basis. Those 2 or 3 website that we use on regular basis are indeed social media websites. In 10 to 15 websites which we know, there are going to be 2 or 3 website related education but we end up opening them once in a month or two.
Why we are not using educational website? Because all the algorithms on Internet are designed to improve accessibility of things you like or watch on regular basis. You open chrome and you will find Facebook already logged in for you, you can simply click on YouTube icon to go on YouTube. But when it comes to using educational website you have to make a conscious choice.
To make this conscious choice, you have to be very focused on what you want to do and do that thing first and remove all the elements which can subconsciously trigger your instinct to go back to default setting.
In the world around us, we are giving away our accessibility of our own attention in seeking pleasure. Through social media even we are becoming more and more accessible to people.
So today's learning: "Don't use accessibility for your own destruction."
Have a Great Day
