Chaplain's Chat
As I was contemplating over the week, on what the future holds for me and the world, the Lord impressed on me, two prayers to consider, and I invite you to pray them today.
The Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-11) "Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen."
The second is simply called 'The Prayer'. I'm sure you have heard this sung many times, by many artists. I invite you to Google it and listen to it as you read these words.
"I pray You'll be our eyes, and watch us where we go. And help to be wise, in times when we don't know. Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way, Lead us to a place, guide us with Your Grace, to a place where we'll be safe.
I pray we'll find Your light, and hold it in our hearts. When stars go out each night, let this be our prayer. When shadows fill our day, lead us to a place; guide us with Your Grace; give us faith so we'll be safe"
We ask that life be kind, and watch us from above. We hope each soul will find another soul to love. Let this be our prayer; just like every child, needs to find a place; guide us with Your Grace; give us faith so we'll be safe." Amen
May God bless you, and keep you this week, and always.
