Hilarie Burton Is Doing It All For Her Daughter

I bet you caught at least a few episodes of One Tree Hill back in the day, and so you've known Hilarie Burton Morgan for a while. Or maybe you're a fan of her podcast, Drama Queens, which revisits the show with two of her former co-stars, Bethany Joy Lenz and Sophia Bush. Now she's got a new book out — Grimoire Girl: Creating an Inheritance of Magic and Mischief — and she chatted all about it with our editor-in-chief, Kate Auletta.

And she's got some really interesting stuff to say about her path in life: "It is an interesting process to realize that I didn't necessarily want to become an actor, but I knew that was the thing that made everyone really happy. It was the thing that opened up the doors for me to do the things that I actually liked doing. I love a team project, and that's what acting always was to me. It was rewarding and fulfilling. But I've been writing since I was really, really, really little. My biggest fear and my biggest goal is to finally put my fiction out into the world."
