Mattress shopping is something else, ain't it?
We went shopping for a new mattress because our current one is a fancy mattress-in-a-bag bought online that is OK but sometimes has us waking up with aches and pains.
So there we were in the local mattress store, making small talk with the salesperson while my husband and I flip around on different options, and the salesman Aaron hands us different pillows to try.
Side. Stomach. Back. Facing each other. Spooning. My husband standing up on his knees to make sure it could handle our amorous encounters.
"So, where are you guys from originally? How's this one working out for you? You look relaxed," says Aaron, who we met moments before.
Our kids nearly asleep on different beds. My daughter having found a vibrating bed option, which apparently exists beyond cheap motels in the 80s.
We accepted a deal on a deluxe model from last year. Cushy on top, but supportive. Not unlike our new friend Aaron.
