And, if Palau, like ALL other countries around in the world, guess W-H-A-T will happen? Let the MONEY speak for itself…whoever's got the BIGGEST piece of the PIE, gets the MOST benefits, and, there's what??? 13 BILLION-ish, of Chinese population, and how many do we have??? 23.57 million, so, GUESS W-H-O will, LOSE??? Exactly! So, there goes, another country that was once, our "besties"…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The president of Palau, Surangel Whipps Jr. recently sent a letter to the American congressman, disclosing that China had given them the promised incentives of booking up the hotels locally in full, and other offers, in hopes to get Palau to cut off diplomatic relations with Taiwan.
The Thinktank researcher, Pascal on the fifteenth posted on X platform, that Surangel Whipps Jr. wrote to the unnamed congressman, hoping that the U.S. could pass the assistance fundings for COFA.
Pascal disclosed, that the letter was mailed on February 9th, describing how China offered the incentives of Palau cutting off diplomatic ties with the U.S. and Taiwan, including the offers of "China already promised us, that they will book all the hotel rooms we have, the more hotels we build, the more the Chinese tourists will fill them up", and, there's also, "our island can offer the tactical advantages in the Pacific in between U.S. and Hawaii, with setting up of the sail routes for China, and can effectively, extend the borders of U.S. military targets into Asia."
about to become: 14-1, what's that??? uh, that's, THIRTEEN you MORON!!!
Pascal stated, that if the U.S. doesn't past the COFA funding, then, U.S. would've fallen for the manipulations of China, allowing those who are closer to China in Palau, to win, accepting the attractive offers of economical aid of China, and the cost of this is the shift of allies, and it starts with sacrificing Taiwan.
The letter also had, that China already promised to "fully book" all the tourist hotels of Palau, and offered to set up two acres of "customer service centers" in Palau for the cost of twenty-million U.S. dollars per year in operations.
The Taiwanese officials stated, that the authenticity of the letter was confirmed to be true, and stated, that Palau felt anxious over how the funding of the freedom leagues that the U.S. is setting up hadn't been signed and approved yet.
But, Reuters awhile ago, quoted the Solomon Island Star's that the congressman that belonged to the United Party that he'd hoped to review the safety agreements with China, and seek to set up the diplomatic ties again with Taiwan; he'd tossed out the "dual belief" agreement. The spokesperson of Foreign Affairs, Liu told, "We always have an open attitude to those who want to set up the diplomatic ties with us; anything that can help bump up our international status, to expand our chances internationally, the Department of Foreign Affairs will take them all seriously. He'd also stated, that there's NO preliminary considerations of Taiwan's starting up the ties with other countries.
And so, we are still, the BARGAINING chip, the PAWN in this duel to the death between China and U.S., and now, the offers made by China already to Palau, and Palau is waiting, to see if the U.S. has a better deal for the country, then, they will decide whether or not to CUT ties with us, and hello, hello, hello, where IS the voice of TAIWAN in this matter? I mean, "we" (still NOT a part of that, "collective") are the ones, who will RISK the huge breakup of business, foreign relations, yada, yada, yada, right? I don't see the DDP government, getting all into the programs, in trying to, persuade Palau to NOT break the ties with us, because we are way too TINY, and now, we don't even have our biggest bargaining CHIP, TMSC, it got SOLD out to the U.S., during Tsai's terms, remember, from way back when, when the government SIGNED the papers to sell out TMSC??? When was that again??? Felt like, yesterday, but it wasn't…
