The police in this case was too rushed to catch the perp who'd raped a teenager, to settle the minds of the local residents, and arrested the wrong person for the crime, and the man was found, not guilty! Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
A high school female student in Kaohsiung, two years ago early in the morning, when she went to school, she was sexually assaulted, the investigators zoomed in on a suspect, Huang who was a carwash employee, arrested him, after Huang was taken into custody, he'd confessed and pleaded guilty, held in custody for five months; but the judge found that the way the police interrogated him was flawed, asking him leading questions, and the man's confessions weren't evidentiary, and Huang's scooter didn't match the descriptions, his build wasn't like the figure caught on tape, the cotton gloves which were supposed to have been used in the sexual assault showed NO physical evidence match either, and the justice didn't rule out that there may be another suspect, found Huang not guilty.
This random sexual assault had caused the shock in the local communities when it'd happened, the city police of Kaohsiung sent out the higher up officials to put out the fires the case had caused, added more patrol forces on the streets, and seven days, as the man was caught, the locals felt, settled down more. The district attorney's of Kaohsiung stated, that the D.A., after reviewing the evidence, believed that Huang was involved in the case, but after reviewing the evidence, the judge believed different, and as the office receives the verdict in paperwork, the D.A.'s office will then think if they want to, pursue the appeal.
The victim adolescent female at five in the morn two years ago on March 16th, was rammed over by a man on a scooter wearing a mask, then dragged into the nearby alley to rape, the passersby heard her cries, then went to see if she was okay, that was when the perp stopped and escaped.
Seven days later, the police arrested Huang, confiscated the pair of cotton gloves he'd used to rape, the clothes he'd changed into after the crime; the D.A. asked the courts to have Huang in custody, the courts signed off on it, after five months in custody, Huang was out on bail of $300,000N.T.s, and indicted for obstruction of sexual freedom.
During the interrogations, Huang confessed, but during the trial, he'd denied his confessions, and the justice found that in the interrogation by the police, the police threatened, "if you don't confess, we will take everyone in your family into custody, and one of you will get charged, and locked up", and the police used the guiding questions in the interrogations too.
And, in the D.A.'s reinterview of Huang, he couldn't tell what he did in the crime, how he'd escaped from the police, to answering out the responses that didn't even FIT to the situation; and because during the search, Huang already took the guilty pleas as requested by the police, his confessions aren't meaningful, and tossed out as evidentiary.
The judge also found, that the scooter the suspect had gotten away on, had the broken baseboards, that on the side there were the strips of anti-illumination on, fitting to the description of Huang's scooter, but, the baseboard of his scooter wasn't broken, nor was there the strips of anti-illumination taped on it, that there was no way to confirm that the scooters were the same one.
Huang is about 5'9, but the victim told, that her assailant was about the same height as her own father at 5'5, the suspect walked with his feet turned outwards, Huang didn't, and the cotton gloves confiscated from Huang didn't have any of his or the adolescent's DNA on them, and they'd not found the clothes that the suspect had used in the sexual assault of the adolescent girl.
The courts found, that the investigators stated that the suspect had changed clothes and escaped, but the scooter can't be confirmed to be the same as Huang's, that the build, the clothing aren't the same either, that the courts can rule, that there may be, another perpetrator.
And so, this is how the law enforcements, rushed to catch the perp, because a RAPIST is on the loose, and this make the locals feel scared, and, the law enforcement had rushed themselves in making this arrest, as the man's height didn't even match the victim's descriptions, nor was the DNA of the adolescent found on the gloves that were taken into evidence, there was also NO clothes that the suspect was wearing as described by the victim, so, due to insufficient evidence to PROVE that this man had actually, RAPED this teenager, he wasn't charged.
