Yeah, how the FUCK (don't pardon me here!) is that even close to, SEVERE enough a punishment? I mean, this LOSER is a district attorney who WORKS for the LAW, and he'd ASKED for a SEXUAL favor in exchange for him to drop a charge in the damages of the female college student hitting his car, he DESERVED a MUCH harsher punishment, solely because he's supposed to ENFORCE the laws, and he'd used his status of power, to force this woman to submit to him, and we're still, allowing these corrupted DDP officials to run this FUCKING (so???) country of "ours"? Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The Taipei D.A.'s Office district attorney, Chen had a fender-bender with a female college student, and during their settlement negotiations, he'd mentioned that she could have sex with him, and not needed to pay the amount for the crash, he got reported, and impeached for damaging the image of justice, sent to the punishment court. The duties courts found that Chen and the female college student reached an agreement, and donated some of his incomes to charity, amended his behaviors practically, and he'd gotten the good evaluations at work, and gave him the lenient punishment of three-months wages.
In September, 2011, Chen started working for the Taipei D.A.'s Office, on May 21, 2023, when he was riding his bicycle, he had a fender-bender with a female college student on her scooter, he'd told her multiple times, "if you will have sex with me, then you won't have to pay for the damages, and I could care less if you're eighteen or not", the Examination Department, the Justice Department sent him to the Punishment Duties Court individually.
The Duties Court found, that the female student is an adult in age already, that Chen's requests to her was far from what was ethically responsible, that he'd damaged the trust of people have in the justice systems. The college student told him she was underage, and he'd still "not canceled the thought", it'd caused the public to question the gender equality awareness, and work ethics of the law enforcement, and that was why he needed to be reprimanded.
Considering how Chen didn't know the female college student, that there was no sexual harassment from his records before, and this is a one-time incident, and when he was sexually harassing the female college student, he didn't tell her what he does for a living, nor abused his work status as a district attorney, and in the end, he'd told her, "it's okay, really, I know it, no damages there", "just go home", believed that Chen still had the self-control, the self-awareness, to STOP his own bad behaviors.
Later, Chen went into therapy, from 2014 to 2023, he'd gained the good evaluations for his work responsibilities, and had been hired as a university lecturer, the instructor for justice in training, committee member of Taipei City Government National Damages Committee, and gotten invited to the Korean Consulate for working a case successfully.
The Occupational Duties Court punished him with a fine, the amount is the sums of wages of his three months' work (more than $400,000N.T.s), and believed it to be punishment enough. The case can be appealed.
And guess what this SHIT teaches us? That if we're in statuses of power, then, we can and will get away with sexual molestation, sexual assault, rape, whatever, so long as when we got caught, we show our FAKED remorse, we PAY for the damages to the person's feeling insulted by us, and keep ourselves in check for the following years, then, all of these bad stuff we did, gets, ERASED. Because that, is what this justice system is telling to the people, as they're, allowing this, ONE-TIME offender, a tiny SLAP on the wrist for asking for SEX from the college student who bumped into his ride.
