How INACTIVE, PASSIVE the DDP is, trying to get the post-pandemic era tourism back up again…and it's still, WE the citizens who live in this HELL HOLE who will, suffer, because we're, losing cash, and paying more into the taxes, as the government is offering the free cost of things to get the tourists in…stupidity is what this is! The Department of Tourism: if This Doesn't Improve by Summer, then, the Projected Number of Total Foreign Visitors Will Get Reduced to Below 10 Million, the Travel Agents, Tourism Industry Employers: No Matter How You Lower the Number, We Still Feel the Strains from Not Making Enough Income
In the post-pandemic era, all the countries are fighting hard to get the tourist numbers back up, the Department of Transportation's Tourism Agency made the goal of getting twelve million tourists to visit, but the deadlock between China and Taiwan had been unresolved to date, with the Chinese tourists visiting, it may be difficult to make that mark. On this, the head of tourism, Chou stated truthfully for the very first time, that, without the Chinese tourists, the country may need to lower their goals, and the key period would be after the summers, and if the Chinese tourists aren't allowed into the country, there would be a necessity to lower the goal, to at least, ten million, with the ideal number being twelve million.
how foreign countries are doing it, and Taiwan is doing the, exact, opposite! Photo from online
But, due to the president-to-be, Lai's visiting the KKday startup, mentioned that "country of tourism", and now, the Tourism Department needed to lower the number, it'd, shocked the tourism industry.
The recruit of the research institute of tourism, Kao stated, that Taiwan had been using the identical means of promotions, relying on the ads from the famous individuals from online, but it'd lacked that competitive edge, that even if the total tourist number gets lowered to ten thousand, chances are, that it won't be, met.
He'd also told, that in the past, when the Chinese tourists visited, they'd spent about $4,800N.T. per day per tourist, and the tourists from Southeast Asia only spent around $1,000N.T.s a day on average, there's still the differences. And, like the group from Thailand, only visited the western half of the island on tour, and this doesn't do a thing for the tourism in Hualien, Taidong, the Japanese tourists mostly stay in the larger cities, which causes the efficacies to spread out quite, unevenly.
Kao also mentioned, that the Department of Tourism had always been about "beautifying using the numbers", to offering the reimbursements of the fees of the tourists' visa costs, the costs of the airfare, "Which country in the world would PAY for the tourists to come visit a country, using the taxpayers' taxes?", what we need is to up the competitive edge in tourism.
And so, this is, the passive means of the government's "helping to better the country's economy", and it's, absolutely, NOTHING, and not only that, we're, losing money, and, eventually nobody will want to come to this god damn, god FORSAKEN island to "play". And the people who relied solely off of tourism will all, suffer, and, more reimbursements will be allotted from the government to these workers, and, that's all, out of, our (the taxpayers') pockets!
