How can we, MERGE two different cultures completely? I mean, if I don't want you to take me over, and you insisted on, taking control over, ME? Exactly, there still will, NOT be, any, "peaceful unification" between Taiwan and China, NOT for as long as those who SCREAMED: TAIWANESE INDEPENDENCE continue to SIT their ASSES in these god DAMN offices of the government here, so yeah, it's completely, DELUSIONAL, to even, THINK about, the terms of, PEACE here, especially as Lai is dubbed as the GOLDEN CHILD of TAIWANESE independence, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
It's easy to understand, how the two conferences of Ma and Xi, in the processes of their communication, and the end result, that "one Chinese race", is the key to resolve the conflicts between Taiwan and China.
Like the columnist, Huang stated, that after the conference between Ma and Xi, the thought of interaction between China and Taiwan switched from the political standpoint to the racial of "one-China principle", and this is what the retired professor of Law in N.T.U. said, of the Eephus pitch from China; and if Taiwan doesn't even try and catch it, the end result would be, unimaginable.
here's the video of the second conference of Ma and Xi, off of YouTube
On the political front, the Taiwanese independents' statements of "Taiwan's tragedy", to the threats that China showed toward the country, all of it rooted back to the "one-China". But, from a "unified culture" standpoint, for hundreds of years, the humiliation of China and the "tragedies of Taiwanese history" is closely, related, and, China's acting so awfully toward this country, it's also, our, problem too.
And, setting aside the political opposites, and the identification with the cultural, most of the people in Taiwan still wanted to "maintain the current relationship with China", this showed, how the golden grandson of Taiwanese independence only own forty-percent of votes, after all, for most of us, "independence" isn't what's, pressing.
By the same means, "unification" to Communist China, is exactly like so too. This is why, when Ma was in office as president, he'd stated, that in his term, neither side will start up the conflicts. You can say it's a game of words, but, this was the setting of the unspoken political agreement of "I don't hit you and you don't hit me", too hard to come by, and, shall not get, broken. And, clearly, Xi knew, that it's not the time that Taiwan and China face off, that's why he'd given the room of interpretation to "one-China policy", to show his tolerance of the DDP's, taking control of the government here.
As for how Lai treated Taiwanese independence as his "win-all" hand, if we weren't from the same culture, same roots as China, he would not describe China and Taiwan as "brothers". And so, suppose that his inauguration speech is a test, and, if Lai can extend the discussion started by Ma and Xi, and focus more on our shared culture, history, and trade and economic benefits, and use these things we share with China to breach the boundaries of geography and politics, even IF the dangers of war are at hand for the next four years, it will still, be effective in delaying the confrontations, which fitted to most of the needs of the people living on this, island.
This would be, the hopes (more like DELUSION) of the people in Taiwan, because Lai is noted as the GOLDEN BOY of Taiwanese independence, and, he may be milder in his actions to try and separate Taiwan from China, but, his core is still, of the Taiwanese independent mindset, and, despite how the last guy, Ma had lay the foundation for the flow of communications to happen between this newly elected government and China, chances are, Lai is going to continue on his predecessor, Tsai's path, leading us, straight to, war, and so, despite how the former president, Ma had lain the foundation, it's still, not going to, work!
