Just like during the Vietnam War Era, as the protests back then was ongoing, Biden could, stay a bystander, but now, he can't, he needed to make a stand, and, which side he states he is on, will be the, determinant of how much he will, lose the elections coming up in November…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
Supporting Freedom of Speech, and Criticized the Anti-Semitic Beliefs, The New York Times: the Democrats Had Offended the Younger Generations of Voters, Giving the Guns to the Republicans
In the U.S., Columbia University students started protesting against the Israeli in the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict, this reminded us of the 1968 anti-Vietnam War protest in Columbia University, back then, the president of the U.S., Biden is a law student not too far from Columbia University, studying in the law department of Syracuse, he'd selected to be a bystander back then, but this time, he can, no longer be, a bystander.
The Students Rebutted: Anti-Israel isn't Anti-Semitic
Toward the protesting students in Columbia University, Biden criticized Anti-Semitism, but the students stated, that they weren't, anti-Semitic, only against the Jews setting up a country, against how the Israeli government was, massacring the Palestinian civilians, so long as U.S. continued to provide the weapons to Israel, Biden will continue being the target of the, protests. Back in 1968, Johson from the Democratic Party had, lost the election because of the anti-war protests of the students, Biden, who'd been, compared to Johnson quite often, can he, avoid having the same fate, befalling, him?
The New York Times reported, the students who occupied the Hamilton Hall of Columbia University were chased off the premises by the police on the thirtieth of April, and in April of 1968, the anti-Vietnam War protest students took the exact same hall, at the time, Biden was about to graduate from the law department of Syracuse, he'd recalled later, that protesting, using the mottos, and wearing the dyed shirt wasn't his style, "I'm a law student, in my sports jacket". Biden didn't get drafted, because he had severe asthma.
Fifty-six years later, Biden can no longer, stand by. Many of the universities across the U.S., the students expressed their anger of the attacks on Gaza by Israel, and Biden became one of the targets of the students' protests too. This is an election year, Biden needs to handle the politics of American university campuses with great care, to NOT walk in Johnson's footsteps.
Biden Nicknamed "Genocide Joe"
The past few days, Biden was really careful in speaking, he'd supported that the students have the right to exercise free speech, at the same time, he'd, criticized the anti-Sematic sentiments toward the Jewish students. But, Biden became, hated by both sides, the supporters of Palestinians called him "Genocide Joe", even the supporters of Trump, his presidential opponent began referring to him as such as well. The Republican politicians blamed him for being too weak toward the students in protests, and Biden tried his best, to avoid criticizing the students in protests himself.
After the protesters occupied Hamilton Hall, Biden didn't immediately comment, instead, the WH spokesperson, Kirby criticized, "This is unacceptable behavior".
with the protesters behind him, he's still "not at liberty to comment"...photo from online
The New York Times points out, that the protests supporting Palestine puts Biden into two political dangers, of one, the left of the Democrats may drifter farther from supporting him, especially the younger generations who'd voted him in the last election, and the younger generations ARE, the key determinant of whether or not he will get reelected, again. Another, it'd given the Republicans more justification to state, that the one who'd messed up the federal government of the United States, as well as international relations is Biden, NOT Trump, this may cause Biden to lose the support from the undecided voters.
Compared to four years ago, the voter support of under age thirty slips very quickly for Biden. Based off of the Harvard Youth polls in April, Biden's support dropped to forty-five percent, Trump with thirty-seven, and at the same time back in 2020, Biden was ahead of trump by twenty-three, percent.
The Younger Voters May Switch to Voting for Trump
The Democrat campaign manager stated, that they have faith, that the younger generations of voters will come to the polls and vote for Biden, because the younger generations cared more for the issued on abortion and economy. And besides, the college semester is ending soon, and the authorities expected that the protests will calm down more or less during the summer vacations, if Biden can help push forth the ceasefire of Israel and Palestine before school starts in the autumn, then, after school begins in autumn, there won't be any more protests.
here's one, from the, "cartoons section"...from online
But, you can't rule out yet how the Biden supportive Arab and younger voters, that they may not come to the polls at all, or switch to voting for Trump, to punish Biden.
In the past, Biden had been compared to Johnson, both had been vice presidents, were agile in pushing forth the amendments, with outstanding results, and now, Biden is stuck in the exact same predicament as Johnson was back then.
Since the start of the Israeli-Hamas War, the Israeli military had continually bombing the Gaza Strip, causing really high death rates among civilians, to the point of blocking the humanitarian resources to enter into the region, causing the Palestinians locally to suffer in despair. Biden could NOT restrict the PM of Israel, Netanyahu, and continually providing the weapons to the country, making those in the U.S. who'd sympathized with the Palestinians see Biden as an enabler of the war. The Israeli-Hamas War had severely impacted Biden's campaign now, if Biden can't stabilize the situation between Israel and Palestine, then, he may well, become Johnson, in failing in seeking his, second, presidential term.
And so, the WAR became, a SUICIDE for the president of the U.S., because he did NOT want to offend anyone, because he wanted to, maintain his, neutral standpoint, didn't matter how he felt personally, because he IS, the president of the U.S. right now, so, everything he does, is, being, watched closely, which makes it even harder, because of how the U.S. stands on the side of Israel, because the U.S. had been "friends" with Israel for, how long now? Despite how Israel is, attempting to, WIPE out the people who are Palestinians.
