These are, the simplest, but most, important wishes of young children, discovered by the writer, teaching him about, the meanings of being healthy, and what falling ill, means…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
Nothing is, matter-of-fact.
In the lobby of the children's hospital, there's, a, wishing tree.
With the cards hanging all over it, looked like the rice paddies of spring. But as I'd, gotten closer to the notes and started reading them, it'd dawned on me, that what the young saplings were covered in, weren't the morning dews, but the, tears.
"I hope my baby can start eating with his mouth, to get better soon."
"You're so very brave, keep working on it! I hope you get well soon, and grow up safe and sound! Mommy and daddy will stay with you forever!"
Some of the cards were written by the children themselves, "I hope I get progress in school more and more, that everybody is safe, and healthy, that my aunt will give birth to Little Apple with no troubles."

An easy birth, to grow up safe and sound, to eat with one's own mouth………all of these, seemingly, matter-of-fact, but actually, these are all, miracles.
When we lost something that we take for granted, that was when we come to realize, that life is hard, that everybody has it like us, just as, bad. There's a card that had, "I hope all the children in this place to get better soon, I hope I will, recovery soon!!!", this child used three exclamation marks.
Illnesses, it'd made us, cherish our own families, our friends more. "I hope my best friend right now, will stay my best friend forever. I hope I will keep on making good grades, to NEVER have a single pimple."
But, why is it, that after we'd recovered from our illnesses, we'd, drifted farther from those whom we called, families, that we'd become, more coldhearted toward our friends', misfortunes?
Some occupations, are naturally sensitive to the needs of, others. Another card had, "although I'm only a nursing student right now, but I hope I can learn more things, to take what I learn to the hospital, to offer the care needed to my patients, that I can, help them, little by little, getting away from the illnesses."
Help them, little by little, such a, wonderful, thought!
Nothing is, matter of fact. Everything we are endowed, it's blessed upon us, even though, we'd, often, taken them for, granted; what someone else gave to us, it's a, bigger and better, even though, we don't, open those, gifts.
This is what everybody understand, but, not very remembered. Humanity made us take the blessings for granted, and, magnifying, the misfortunes of our, lives.
Thankfully, the way we can change this, ungratefulness, is by, falling ill, getting hospitalized.
The adults being sick that's, sad, while the children's being sick, that's, sad squared. Like the sense of loss, seeing a field, going to waste, the saplings that don't grow up, that's heartbreaking. Growing up safe and healthy, these are, simple, words, and to have this, how many people need to, work together for this.
As I'd read, "I want my baby can eat with his mouth, to get better soon", my heart tightened. But, I'd read below more, I'd found, that the mom used a different colored pen, wrote, "thank you so very much, my baby is, healthy now!", the handwriting was, almost, illegible, like that, happy grin.
Nothing IS, matter of fact. Because nobody knows, the real "reason" for why life happens. We're all like young children, bumping around, stumbling around, in going forward, falling back, pursuing the "scholastic advancements" of our own, lives.
We are all in our puberty, with a ton of information coming to us, almost NO wisdom, while, our emotions, it'd caused us to, be limited to use our own, wisdom.
But thankful, we can, still make the wishes for our own selves, and others too. That faithfulness, the will, maybe one day, it can, help us, grow up without any troubles, to get out the hospitals, on a, clean bill of, health.
So, these are the, simple wishes of these children who fell ill, their wishes are too, ordinary, but, they're important, because they reflected the future hopes and dreams of these, young children, and many of them, don't even know, that they may not even, have that future that's theirs to live, because of the illnesses that they have, but it's these hopes and dreams they have for themselves in their, futures, that's kept them, going on, in their, treatments.
