The oldest thing I own is a dance purse that was my grandmother's. I own quite a few of her things. The dance purse was in her hands when she met my grandfather. A dance purse held change, lipstick, powder, and a comb. It is made of metal. As I smile at my reflection that once held hers, I remember how she would paint my nails bright red and put on her red lipstick.
